The Red Alligator was the choice of a 13 year old for his birthday meal - and it proved a brilliant choice. Great variety of food suitable for all tastes (maybe more veggie options would be good, but didn’t affect us this time). Large portion sizes, cooked perfectly. Food cooked to order, but there wasn’t a massive long waiting time. A shame there weren’t more customers - resulted in a lack of atmosphere and isolated. Deserves to be used more. We’ll definitely be back, but will request a table in the ‘restaurant’ room. Welcoming, friendly staff. Recommended!!

As always, first class in every respect. Lovely atmosphere in a quirky way, good staff who do an amazing job and the chef never ceases to amaze me. Highly recommend Reading through other comments some people are impossible to please. Not us. Always happy to return

Went for the 3 courses for £10. A few of the starters and mains had an extra supplement on them. My fish and chips being one of them. (Tinned mushy peas as well which were tasteless) )….! Extra charge for mayo for a salad and tartar for the fish and chips. Unbelievably on the dessert there was an extra charge for cream, ice cream or custard. £5.20 a pint of cider..! To be fair the food was OK without being special, not sure I would rush back to be honest..!

Came for a spa day with friends for birthday treat , NOT good value for Money. We had the afternoon tea which you literally got one bun and one finger sandwich for your savoury , a small sausage roll, scone , and small cake treat , left feeling hungry

Throughly enjoyed my experience and spa day and afternoon tea , only one critique and thats the pool as there wasn't one yet it's advertised there is a pool this needs updating as its misleading and then left disappointed on arrival seeing no pool , other than that I enjoyed myself .

Went for the Sunday carvery with the family, food was delicious and hot which is unusual for a carvery, we paid the extra £1.50 and had the large and boy it was large, I had all the meats each one was cooked to perfection, the cauliflower cheese was also good, I can honestly say I can't think of anything negative, will definitely be going back in the future, the staff were friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in, and they checked back to see if our meals were ok, On the way out we saw the specials board that looked yummy to, the meals that were qritten on it not the actual board, We all left with full bellies and smiles

I was disappointed, I was with my two friends, we each had a voucher for an evening 3 hour spa, tapas board and glass of Prosecco, on arrival we were informed it’s not a tapas board anymore but either a sharing board or a grazing board, we were given the menu to pick either the veg or meat grazing board but when I asked what the sharing board had on it the staff member informed me she did not know and didn’t attempt to find out for us, at this point I did express my disappointment that it wasn’t the tapas board that I had booked and paid for but I was just told it was the grazing platter now. I do feel if you sold vouchers for tapas boards this should be honoured as it’s false advertisement. We did not receive a grazing board each like our vouchers stated but instead one between us, it had little on it, it consisted of bread, salami, Parma ham, terrine, olives and a chutney. The bread was also stale. There was also a drunk person in the bar who was quite rowdy so we moved tables, he later came to tell us he finished off the food on our board after we left. Overall I was disappointed as I have been before and had a much better experience.

Me and my mam came for Sunday lunch on Sunday and we’re really disappointed. The beef was like leather so hard to chew. The gravy was like water. The whole dinner was tasteless. Service was slow, we had to ask to order and it wasn’t busy at all (I could understand if they were rushed off their feet but they weren’t) I would have told staff my complaint however no one asked how the food was. I’m really dissatisfied, it’s a lot of money to pay for Sunday dinner and this was a total waste.
