Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWonderful meal, staff very attentive, couldn't fault it. Staff team worked seamlessly, very impressed.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamAlways amazing food, service and atmosphere here, its my son's favourite place to go for a meal out treat. Usually go for pasta but had a succulent steak this week, cooked to perfection! The chocolate fudge cake is too nice but it would be rude not to
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – Durhamwe went there on steak night and the fillet was one of the best I've ever had perfectly cooked medium, with gorgeous chips and onion rings and flat mushroom. My partner had the haddock which was white, moist with a gorgeous batter and perfect chips with tartare sauce and mushy peas. We will definitely be returning and the staff are a joy to be served by.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamAlways fab food and great quick service. Cant grumble at adding £2 on for a portion of massive cut chips… most sides in other restaurants are £4 plus.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamGreat food (caters to picky eaters in my family), service always fantastic, price always good, clean and easy parking
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamMeal for 8 people midweek special offer. Everyone enjoyed every course, the food was delicious and good value 3 courses for £10 some choices limited ie prawns for a starter they charge extra! Did think serving crumble and brownies on their own and charging extra for custard/ ice cream/ cream was a bit mean! Service was quick, also drinks, staff were friendly and accommodating. Just a personal note found the restaurant very dark, felt lighting could have been better / brighter!
The Farmers Arms – DurhamOur favourite restaurant, friendly staff, lovely food and great atmosphere. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there on Friday with the kids and had a great time, lovely Parmo, steak and kids pizzas. They are super family friendly with a lovely outdoor area! Thank you
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamHad an amazing meal at The Red Alligator on Friday not your normal pub food but something different. Surf and turf seared beef and crushed crab cooked perfectly by the chef and tasted unbelievable. Would definitely recommend this pub to anyone as it's thinking outside the box re the menu and is excellent value for money
Red Alligator – Bishop AucklandThe food exceeded expectations. I had the trio of pork which was cooked perfectly, my only criticism would be the vegetables were a little cold. I think the place needs some soft furnishings (curtains) to give it a more welcoming feel. The service was very good and people should give the place a try, it's a shame it should be much busier.
Red Alligator – Bishop Auckland10/10. Always lovely food, service and atmosphere. And fantastic value for money.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWe had a lovely spa day with afternoon tea, it was absolutely gorgeous, just enough for two, after treatments and spa, staff so attentive. Will definitely be back again. Thank you.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonI had an overnight stay with my friends for my birthday and ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was superb, the attention to detail for presentation was first class and nothing but truly delicious. My friend wanted a different type of potato with her meal but that was not possible. I do have to comment on the staff as they were friendly, accommodating , so pleasant and the best set of hotel staff I have ever come across.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastlePopped in for a meal and a few drinks as havent been for a while. Good value for money as wife had the half portion of haddock and chips an i had a burger with chips. The chips are good as homemade so rather large. Friendly staff and reasonable drink prices. We will be back at some point.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamGreat service, great food
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWe visited yesterday with family for Sunday lunch. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The chicken was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. So tender and juicy with crispy skin. The Yorkshire puddings really nice too. However I would have like to have had more veg and a lot more mash. There’s was only about a table spoon if that of mash and a couple of carrots. The only thing that let the food down other than the small portion were the roast potatoes which tasted like they’d been cooked and then reheated. They also forgot to put the stuffing and extra gravy on, but other than that the food was really nice. Desert we were charged £6.95 for a single scoop of ice cream for one of the kids. The brownie looks nothing like pictures on social media. It was half a cm thick and just slightly bigger than bite sized. We did not get the deal as if we had for £20 wouldn’t have had issues as you’re never going to get what you pay full price in the deals. We paid full price for everything as didn’t want starters so abit disappointing. I’d like to try the weekday menu as I did really enjoy the Sunday lunch but would avoid getting deserts as the tiny portion isn’t worth £7.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamExcellent food, superb value and amazing service. Can’t find any fault whatsoever. Lewis in particular needs a mention. Excellent service throughout, and interaction with our young daughter.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamGreat restaurant that serves quality affordable food. Definitely recommend the parmo, really tasty and filling. Great range of gluten free options which is brilliant for my wife as we normally struggle to find 1 maybe 2 choices in other restaurants.
