We had a lovely afternoon tea and spa morning today (26th feb) The lady in the spa was really helpful and all the staff were fantastic. We were giving our afternoon tea in the restaurant and then a lovely lady showed us around the older part of the hotel for any future bookings in the summer where you have a terrace that is lovely in the sunshine. Thank you for such a great day ☺️

Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamSunday carvery was excellent, we had the two course meal, starters looked very good but we opted for the carvery and a sweet. Meats were cooked to perfection and fell apart on your plate and melted in your mouth. Vegetables and trimmings were also excellent. Struggled to eat the sweet course which we opted for cheesecake of the day. Have been a couple of times and already booked for March well worth a visit.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamWe had a beautiful time at hall Garth the hotel and its grounds are absolutely stunning. The staff are lovely and very helpful if I had to give one criticism it would be that we waited a little while to be seated but was nothing major and in way would it stop me returning. We look forward to enjoying the spa facilities also this month. We had afternoon tea for two and this was delightful more than enough for two and left us full most of the day
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonReally enjoyed dinner here with my son. Excellent tapas with plenty of variety. My favourite dishes were the deep fried calamari with garlic mayo and the pork belly chunks with rich sauce. There was a lively, buzzy atmosphere in an old, hidden building with lots of corners. Very busy on our arrival at peak time on a Saturday at 6.45pm which I guess accounts for the 40-minute wait to be served. Had it not been for that I'd have given a fifth star.

Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonOnce again I have eaten at the Dine and Wine and I genuinely cannot praise it high enough. Three of us sat down to eat and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant highly.

Service was very good even though there only seemed to be 1 lad serving & tending the bar he did a brilliant job. We will definitely be back.

Pesto Italiano – DurhamEvening Food was just ok, quite bland, breakfast very disappointing, eggs Benedict very tasteless and muffins not toasted so ended very soggy , not pleasant at all. Not great after a basic room ( definitely not deluxe) with an extremely bobbly mattress in a freezing room. Reception staff at check out rather rude, will not return.
