Sunday carvery was excellent, we had the two course meal, starters looked very good but we opted for the carvery and a sweet. Meats were cooked to perfection and fell apart on your plate and melted in your mouth. Vegetables and trimmings were also excellent. Struggled to eat the sweet course which we opted for cheesecake of the day. Have been a couple of times and already booked for March well worth a visit.

We had a beautiful time at hall Garth the hotel and its grounds are absolutely stunning. The staff are lovely and very helpful if I had to give one criticism it would be that we waited a little while to be seated but was nothing major and in way would it stop me returning. We look forward to enjoying the spa facilities also this month. We had afternoon tea for two and this was delightful more than enough for two and left us full most of the day

Really enjoyed dinner here with my son. Excellent tapas with plenty of variety. My favourite dishes were the deep fried calamari with garlic mayo and the pork belly chunks with rich sauce. There was a lively, buzzy atmosphere in an old, hidden building with lots of corners. Very busy on our arrival at peak time on a Saturday at 6.45pm which I guess accounts for the 40-minute wait to be served. Had it not been for that I'd have given a fifth star.

Once again I have eaten at the Dine and Wine and I genuinely cannot praise it high enough. Three of us sat down to eat and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant highly.

Visited on Friday & had the 3 courses for £10 excellent value even with the supplements on some items. Food was amazing & plentiful.Lovely quirky decor. Service was very good even though there only seemed to be 1 lad serving & tending the bar he did a brilliant job. We will definitely be back.

Date night with my husband where we had our wedding breakfast, so a place that holds special memories for us. Lovely food and company as well as good value. Service attentive but not intrusive. We return time and time again.

Excellent food and service, generous portions and helpful and friendly staff. Our second visit and we'll certainly be back. Series of small rooms make it not too noisy so ideal for a quiet meal and good conversation.

Evening Food was just ok, quite bland, breakfast very disappointing, eggs Benedict very tasteless and muffins not toasted so ended very soggy , not pleasant at all. Not great after a basic room ( definitely not deluxe) with an extremely bobbly mattress in a freezing room. Reception staff at check out rather rude, will not return.

We usually come here every so often and love it so much although this time we were very disappointed. We came on valentine day for a little getaway and the room was perfect but the service was terrible. New staff have been hired (mostly young) which is fine, although they were constantly gossiping around the bar in the restaurant. We waited about 30/35 minutes before our drinks arrived and by this point we had finished our starters. Staff members were constantly staring and whispering, also seen a few of the girls holding hands and running around to gossip. We had met a couple of others who also thought it was slow and one had went to the bar for ice and the waitress said ‘ Can i go for a wee i’m on my break ‘. Just overall really unprofessional and don’t think we will be attending again. Which we are gutted about because like i said we normally love this place. Such a shame.
