Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonThe tomato soup starter was lovely but I thought the main course choice could be more varied. For example there was two fish dishes and one vegetable meal and one chicken dish which had been on the first day as well. The service was slow but we were offered complimentary drinks because of this. I would rate the main course quality 5 out of 10
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamPizzas were outstanding. The service was too. Nothing too much trouble. 3rd visit to this hotel and there will definitely be a fourth!
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamDecoration smart elegant Service terrible short staffed rushed off their feet. Stressed staff when it seemed table reservation for 5 in quiet corners wasn't on list seemed to be unaware of customers waiting lots of tables what and ready to order we waited 40 mins for food main course beef burger was raw !!!! However food from pizza oven delicious and tasty and hot Inside had to send back -whole celebration meal ruined as we had booked to stay in hotel ordered strawberry cheesecake x2 to room for after straw ice cream arrived I give up Not a good memory for a break away

Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamLunch with Dad, he enjoys having something to look forward to since Mam died, and this was handy for us both. Lovely attentive service and good food and beer, we only didn’t have a pudding as he had his diabetes test the next day. We will return.
