Delightful meal as usual with an excellent gluten free menu. Friendly service and good value. Lovely garden and plenty of parking spaces.

Pleasant pub, lovely food had a great meal and time

Haven’t been here in a long while and very impressed with the food - extensive menu and all our dishes (5 of us) were well presented and tasted great. My daughter is vegetarian and loved the Mushroom Wellington. All in all a great place to eat - we will be back. Also fabulous garden we sat out in for drinks before moving into the covered area for dinner as it got cool

Lovely welcoming pub with a really lovely garden. Had cheese omelette and it was absolutely fantastic. Would recommend Rooms very comfortable and staff very helpful and welcoming

A lovely restaurant to enjoy fab dining with all the family. Plenty to choose from and the money is worth it. The staff are very good too.

We were very pleased to find a pub serving food on a Monday lunchtime. There was an excellent choice available and we all enjoyed our meals very much. The staff and customers were very friendly and helpful. They kindly allowed us to sue their facilities before setting out on our walk before the pub was actually open. This is a very pleasant pub with very good food at reasonable prices in a lovely location. What more could you wish for?

Consistently fabulous! Delicious food. Lovely, attentive staff who offer a great service. The ambience is perfect and having visited several times, I've never been disappointed. There is nothing not to like.

I have always enjoyed y meals at The Chequers. On this occasion I ordered the sea bass which has an increased price of 2£ compared to previous visits. The fish is best described as puny and not fresh. Very disappointing. As usual the service was good. I will expect better when I next visit.

Place its nice and have lots of space.food looks good and was hot enough.i have tried quite a lot of stuff and some things were good some worste some better as anyone would expect.downside was no juice availeble for bottomless glass(only fizzy drinks that my son doesnt drink for some reason)

This is our 3rd time of coming and if it was the first I wouldn’t return unfortunately. It was a special occasion 18th birthday meal when we arrived we were greeted and told to look at the food before we decided to stay and eat or we could leave it was 7.30pm so couldn’t really book anything else, there was no discount given and the Chinese buffet area was very much lacking in the food we wanted. The Indian side was much better. The staff were very nice but wasn’t the experience that we all wanted it to be some of the guests we had had never been before and I told them it was a great place to eat so no one will be returning unfortunately. The fact the price was not changed due to there being a lot less was pretty bad to spent over £200 and was not worth that money.

Always a fantastic meal, very hot and plenty to choose from, wonderful staff always friendly and helpful, wouldn't go anywhere else for a roast dinner

What a little gem of a pub. Great little pub tucked away and the Sunday roasts were just amazing. If ever I'm back down this way there be no hesitation i call again.
