Sunday Roast: food was hot, fresh and plenty of it. The choice of meats were great, cauliflower cheese was delicious! The roast potatoes were crispy but fluffy inside. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal, definitely going again and would 100% recommend. Staff: friendly, happy and very welcoming Venue: clean with a great atmosphere Negatives: ate too much roast and couldn’t fit in a delicious dessert so had to take some home with me :-)

I booked a table for 2 at 1pm but upon booking, I was a little concerned that we were only allowed 1 hour...However, when we arrived, we had a table for 4 and actually, we ate our meal within the hour. The really good part of this review is that firstly, the staff were all super friendly and secondly, our carvery roast dinner was wonderful. Plenty of selection from 4 meat joints, to the vegetables to the condiments. The meat was moist and was super tasty. We were not made to feel rushed at all. Thank you The Master Builder for a really lovely Sunday lunch x

Second visit first one in April was fantastic second visit on Friday 29th not so good, placed our order and 45 minutes later still waiting for food asked the staff and were then told the first member of staff who took our order had gone home and forgot to place our order with the kitchen! To be fair they did knock off our drinks and the food was good once it arrived.

Fantastic warm comfy cosy pub. Great food, helpful staff. Looking forward to coming again.

We had a delicious meal, my grandson had a fillet steak which he said was amazing. Lovely pub to visit and the staff were really nice.

Cracking pub grub and excellent Wadworth Ale. We always visit here when travelling to Southampton for the cricket at the Rose Bowl and have always been extremely satisfied with both the food and the real ale. On our arrival the pub was unusually quiet for a BH weekend but was filling quickly as we left. Staff are attentive and we will always go back here whenever in the area

Very Overpriced, low quality food ingredients and the range of food seems to be much less than the last time I visited a year or so ago. Atmosphere wasn't great, music system seemed to have strange fault which was unpleasant to have to hear at times. The bar staff (a woman) seemed disinterested, no customer service given whatsoever. - In fact, she was quite rude.

Delicious Sunday lunch , the cauliflower cheese is the star of the show.Always fresh ingredients we are never disappointed

The food was probably the best mexican food I've ever had. So flavoursome, it all tastes awesome from the starters to dessert. The service was a little slow and there was a small mix up but they sorted it. The chairs are uncomfortable, that's my only real criticism.
