Excellent all round

Love this place. Food is exceptional. Atmosphere is lovely. One of my favourite places to eat.

We came for a special occasion as this is my mums favourite place to eat and she is now in a Care Home. She was always a regular visitor to this restaurant for many years. We got the table requested. Thank you. We all felt the food was not as good as we’ve had previously. We all ate off the Christmas menu. Starters were ok ( nothing special), however mum had lamb and it was very tough. We had to ask for mint sauce and would have liked a sharper knife to cut her meat for her. Salmon was good. The veg was disappointing. Some roast potatoes ( tasteless) and one small dish of mixed veg. ( I have always loved the plentiful and tasty veg before but this was meagre, over cooked parsnips and unimaginative). Service was 2 older people, who although they tried, seemed rather rushed and not the usual friendly chat we’ve come to expect from staff. They struggled to carry the hot plates of food and we nearly got them on our laps a couple of times. The crackers were poor and the whole ambience lacking. The mince pies were tiny and everything lacked anything special. Overall an expense and disappointing trip out for us all.

Had a lovely lunch the other day at Verdes. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, as always. Never disappointed!

Excellent., we went early doors so not to many in. But it's a lovely building with lovely staff and yummy food.

I visited Quattros with a couple of friends, from the minute we walked in the service was exceptional, every member of staff was smiling nothing was to much for them, one of my friends was lactose intolerant and was catered for with the staff being very knowledgeable about ingredients and if that member of staff didn’t know they went and asked another member of staff, the food was amazing all plates where cleared, we never felt rushed to finish our food it was very busy but also very relaxed at the same time.Also the prices was very very good value for money especially for the quality of food, I will definitely be visiting here again with other friends and family members and have already recommended this gem to friends and family.

Went for a Xmas work night out, the staff were amazing so friendly and the food was very good. Lovely atmosphere made by the in-house team.

Our first visit here. We both chose from the christmas menu and had 2 courses. My meal was very nice. Blade of beef cooked to perfection. Sadly my partners vegetarian meal was lacking. The celeriac roast was really a tasteless mush and all of the meal merged into one tasteless soginess somehow. We thought the celeriac "roast" would be something with more bite and tastiness. However he has become acustemed to poor veggi meals in mainly carnivorous eating establishments. The trifle was mainly a huge cream topping. Very little fruit and jelly. Looked fab with sprinkles but didn't deliver. The dark chocolate mousse was very nice and the crushed ginger biscuit a great touch. Staff were stretched. 2 on the ground when we arrived and a very full pub. We were billed for all items seperately. Glad I checked because we ordered as a 2 courses deal.

Love this pub staff lovely food fantastic and our server was ace he went above and beyond and made me a salad what wasn't on menu big thank you to the kitchen staff too great place !

Lovely place for a catch up with friends. Shame soup was cold but they soon sorted out for us. Nice atmosphere and airy place.

Warm welcome & very cosy. Great choice of cocktails, the cherry Espresso Martini is absolutely delicious! Pizzas are really tasty recommend the Shroom, yum!! Perfect place, we love it.

The food is always very good at The Whitchaff and reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend The Whitchaff to all family and friends.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday evening, first class service, seasonal menu available together with additional special dishes spoilt for choice. Excellent well cooked food. Will return in the New Year

Absolute chaos when we arrived. The staff kindly allowed us a table that was much better than the one they had allocated to us. But it was downhill from then on. Ordered wine but 15 mins later nothing arrived. In view of this & seeing a woman complaining she still hadn’t received her meal we decided to leave. Granted there were lots of large Christmas parties & the staff were pulled out but we weren’t willing to pay for a meal to a) potentially wait a long time for and b) eat under such a chaotic environment

Amazing food and service as usual. It was my birthday and I was made to feel very special.. love this place! Best Italian restaurant for miles!
