Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe often meet up with friends for a meal and enjoy visiting the Lunsdale. We decided that we would try them for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed, the meal wasn’t particularly hot, the vegetables were over done and the roast potatoes were very hard. We decided to have a sweet but the service was very slow and at one point we thought that if our order hadn’t been taken in the next Five minutes we’d not bother. As it was we caught the eye of a waitress and managed to give her our order within the allotted time we had given her. We also surprised that the house red one of our party had ordered was actually 50 p more expensive than the Merlot.

The Hapton Inn – BurnleyI met a friend for brunch on Sunday. We arrived for opening time and had a table reserved. We perhaps didnt need to reserve a table for opening but within an hour it was definitely alot more busy so I would still recommend it. We both ordered the £12 set menu full English breakfast which was lovely. I would definitely recommend The Barn for brunch and the menu appeared to offer plenty of other options

The wine was carefully selected with Nerino’s knowledge and was very good. We had a very pleasant time and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Many thanks to the team … you never disappoint!
