Francos – LongridgeCannot recommend this highly enough! Went for Sunday lunch and the food and service were excellent, 3 courses £13.95, will definitely go again!!
Walled Garden Bistro – Prestonfantastic place great food and good service,
Spice Lounge – BlackburnI have been to this restaurant about three times, on my third visit i am sorry to say i will not be returning. The food was good but the prices of drinks was not. We were over charged for drinks and also they added a cover charge of £15.00 on to our bill which has never happened before. This was supposed to be a good value for money restaurant and it has become very over priced. In this current climate there are such a lot of restaurants out there doing great food and great prices. I'm sorry this restaurant is not one. I could of gone to Harvey Nichols in Manchester drinking champagne and been served by a five star michelin chef and my bill would of been cheaper.
Casa Tapas – Rawtenstallregular visitors lovely food staff excellent very friendly and cosy. Love it.
Royalty Phoenix – AccringtonI recently visited the Red Lion completely on a whim with my husband while passing through Mawdesley. The exterior of the pub was what attracted us, especially the sweet little fence separating the outdoor area. The staff were relaxed yet utterly professional and couldn't do enough to please us, particularly the tall boy behind the bar. We chose to dine on the 3 course Sunday Lunch menu (amazing value!) and I have to say, the chocolate fondant pudding has knocked bread and butter pudding off the menu at my 'last supper' - it was divine! All in all I was pleased to be reminded of just how great British pubs can be. Keep up the good work!
Red Lion At Mawdesley – OrmskirkWent for a meal with my boyfriend and the food is awesome!! Very friendly staff and very helpful as asked about special dietary requirements for my sister and they went through the menu with recommendations so 10/10 from me and Rob :)))
Grey Mare Inn – BlackburnWe went for a meal for my Husband's 40th birthday and had a wonderful evening that far exceeded my expectations. The food was spectacular, the service was amazing and we were treated like royalty. 10/10 is just not a high enough score! We have lived within walking distance for 20 years and this was our first visit, boy have we been missing out! We can't wait to return, thoroughly recommended .
Haworths Restaurant at The Pines Hotel – ChorleyTook mother for her birthday to the Horns Inn. I love the fact it's like stepping back in time. The food is absolutely fantastic and unpretentious to suit the many local farmers who have dined here for years. It's famous for its Goosnargh duck which I had., followed by a beautiful bread and butter pudding. Please don't change this place!
Ye Horns Inn – PrestonVisited yesterday lunch , best tapas in the North west . Very welcoming, great prices , great 4 for 3 offer , good size portions and the flatbread with ham cheese fab!! Nice staff and very welcoming venue
1725 – LancasterI am a massive fan of Indian food and can honestly say that this is one of the best Indian restaurants that I have been to. The decor is modern and finished to a high standard, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are incredibly friendly and polite and the food is of the best quality. Prices are reasonable too. If you like your curries hot, like I do, be warned the vindaloo is very hot indeed, I tried it a couple of years ago and only just survived the ordeal and vindaloos are not normally a problem for me, I now stick to the Jalfrezi when dining at the Viceroy. This place comes highly recommended.
The Viceroy – LeylandUnquestionably the best curry I have ever had in a pub! The landlady mentioned the quality and popularity of the 4 curries on offer. I wasn't expecting my South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken to be this good. It was even better than most Indian curries and I've tried a Michelin starred one!
The Duke of Rothesay – MorecambeWow Wow Wow, I have found my 2 favourite Italians! That’s Mario and his restaurant. I visited for the first time this weekend with my wife-to-be and we definitely were not disappointed, my first observation was how well the staff were presented in their uniforms but also the manner of service was second to none, we were asked on entrance if we would like to take a seat in the bar area while the barman arranged our drinks order, which was a very large glass of rose. We were then handed a menu, which was amazing in size (for an Italian restaurant) but this was obviously no ordinary Italian, There were abundantly varied options of seafood, and veal dishes as well as the usual suspects pizza, pasta etc. My fiancée and I both opted for a fish dish, & I was delighted I did, the Halibut Dello Chef was beautiful it just fell away and melted in your mouth topped off with small prawns this was perfect and would now not think twice before ordering this again. The whole evening was wonderful, there was no rushing us to move on after our meal as in some restaurants, the staff were efficient but also very relaxed, it was nice to enjoy a sense of humour with several members of the team too. Fantastic!!! Well done Mario, we will see you again soon......... with the in-laws!
Mario’s Ristorante – BarnoldswickWe arrived at 11:45 for a 12:15 lunch sitting, when we walked into the hotel we were seated in the lounge & shown a very interesting wine list, as we were having the 7 course tasting menu along with wine, we didn't want to have to much to drink before the meal began, so we went for 2 glasses of champagne. After about 15 minutes the manager of the restaurant came over, introduced himself to us and explained the tasting menu to us (He was aware that we were having the tasting menu as I informed them when I booked the meal) We were asked through to the restaurant at 12:15 and seated, we were offered some homemade breads & given about 15 minutes until the sommelier came over and explained the 1st wine to us & how it brings out the flavours of the 1st course. About 3 minutes after the course arrived. Amazing the presentation was by far the best I've ever seen & the taste was just incredible The same procedure was continued for the remaining six courses. 3.5 hours later we had finished the menu & were served coffees in the lounge This whole experience was by far the Best we’ve ever had, so good infact we have rebooked for 2 weeks time. All together the bill came to £420 and we wouldn’t have expected to pay any less it was worth every single penny. Amazing
Northcote – Blackburnhighly recommended!! chicken livers to die for! actually can never decide what to have because its all so good! top waiters and great prices
La Vespa – ClitheroeBrilliant visit on the 5th May 2011. Party of four and we all enjoyed the food. The vegetarian Lasagne and pizza were simply delightful, tasty and well made. Service was prompt and friendly, and the place had a nice atmosphere. Possible one of the nicest Italian restaurants in Preston.
Tinos – PrestonWe have dined at Checco's on many occasions midweek and weekends and no matter how busy they are they are always very attentive and we cannot fault the food and overall atmosphere. You never feel rushed either. Even the special lunch menu does not compromise on quality and value. Excellent ! the best in town!
Checcos – PrestonDelicious Chinese food cooked quickly and to perfection. The tastiest takeaway around and . Highly recommended
