Very disappointed. Went for a meal - just under £20 for a mixed grill which when it arrived was very insubstantial, greasy and over cooked. Staff were unfriendly and the place looked and smelt unclean. Went across the village to compare menus and prices and it looks very likely that we will be visiting the Victoria Hotel who's mixed grill appears on the menu "to do what it says!"
Dalton Arms – LancasterAs vegetarians, we sometimes struggle to find something different on the menu. At Truffles the vegetarian dishes are original and delicious - we have never been disappointed. Lovely atmosphere too..
Truffles – Chorleyi was really disappointed with my meal at le vespa i had the seafood spaghetti i asked what was in it before i ordered it i was told white fish salmon prawns and mussels in a creamy wine and tomato sauce when it came there was no sauce and it only had very small prawns and mussels which was disappointing. no one came and asked how our meal was and when we asked for the bill we paid and left it was as if the staff weren't interested in our custom.
La Vespa – Clitheroeeverytime i visit The Tapas Bar, it is a pleasure! The people are always warm and welcoming and The tapas is the best I've ever had!! The lamb in Rioja main course is a must have!!!

I've not enjoyed a meal out as much in a long time - what a little gem! I had the roast beef Sunday lunch, the rib of beef was sublime and my partner had the duck, not too strong with a lovely garlic potato gratin. Thank You
The Highwayman – Kirkby LonsdaleI loved this venue, however my evening was ruined by the management asking the band to leave after only half a set. If you book a band on the weekend of Leeds/Reading and Pride and do nothing in the way of advertising the event then you cannot expect a packed crowd. The night got even worse went the management tried to rip the band off causing an embarrassing confrontation in front of the bar. Like I say, nice venue, shame about the clueless management!!!

The Eastern European food is very good (have tried a couple of the dishes and they are excellent), the cakes are fabulous and not something you will normally come across. I can recommend the Polish baked cheesecake! There is a good selection of fruit juices and the biggest tea menu you will probably ever see. Its a very relaxing place and the service is excellent.
