Holden Arms – RawtenstallMaurice, Ria, Zak, Barry , Russell & Andy thankyou all for making our wedding day so very special everyone was so kind and attentive. All our guest commented on have fantastic the food , service and kindness everyone was so thanks again have Great Christmas and wonderful new year
Mitton Hall – ClitheroeMitton hall has gained a new lease of life finally. Previously was not that great. But the WABURTONS and there MANAGERS have done it proud. A personal thankyou to Barry, Russell and Ria and all staff who were very attentive last Wednesday evening we normally go out and have a three course dinner. But we so the TAPAS style menu first and was taken away with it. So we ordered MONKFISH SKEWERS, LOBSTER TEMP, PORK SCHEWAN, OUZI YAKI and what a lot you do get for the price. THE FOOD WAS BETTER THAN FANTASTIC but i will spread the work about this establishment Merry Christmas and happy new year
Mitton Hall – ClitheroeGreat place! very different from your average curry place.. dare you call it that. Very upmarket, modern and absolutely great attention to detail in presentation. We have just visited their second opening in Bolton. Marsden road if anyones looking for it.Highly recommended.
Vedas – TodmordenOne of the best Indian restaurants around. Food wise, the quality is excellent. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There is always more than enough to eat and enjoy. One of its best qualities is the lack of pressure to finish your meal. You can relax and take your time if you wish, and have a few drinks in the lounge. Don't forget to try sukhi's Lager - a refreshing pint that's easy on the palette. Its not too gassy, so it doesn't leave you feeling full - and its surprisingly full strength too. Its little things like this that make Sukhi's that bit more special, add to that the good quality food (lamb bhuna to die for!) and its a winning combo. The decoration is a bit 'typical indian' and could benefit from a little modernisation, but on the whole - the pick of the bunch in Darwen and Blackburn area.
Raj Mahal – Darwenshi qila the best indian tandori place you could ever imagine
Shahi Qila – BlackburnFinally Mitton Hall is what it should have been for years, friendly and professional staff. We wanted for nothing. Zak will cater for your every need and Andy will ensure you enjoy yourself pre and post dinner. Well done James you have exceeded yourself.
Mitton Hall – ClitheroeA pleasant surprise, having visited Mitton Hall for a family occasion we were all treated with absolute care and professionalism throughout. A friend and I were also witness to a truly fantastic rhetoric by the somewhat eccentric barman how the resurrection of Mother Theresa and Ghandi would not interfere with his deliveries. The passion from the staff shines through. A must
Mitton Hall – ClitheroeMy partner & I have dined at New Seasons several times & have always thoroughly enjoyed it. When I needed to organise somewhere for a work meeting I could not have imagined how perfect New Seasons would be. They have a room upstairs which is fab - beautifully decorated with a roaring fire (just what is needed on a cold December night). The staff were attentive whilst allowing our meeting to go uninterrupted and the food was exquisite - all my work colleagues commented on what a wonderful place it was. The owners are incredibly helpful and I would have no problem with recommending New Seasons to anyone!
Seasons – Chorleydon't dare complain about the as you'll be short changed by one of the grumpy co owners, despite being regular clients. we won't be attending again. initially service was good but has declined pro rata with this establishments success
Bukhara – PrestonOver priced curry from a jar and a very dated restaurant. It was run of the mill food followed by an excessive bill. I don't mind paying if it is good. No individual style or special dishes. Service was good, although the restaurant had very few tables in (on a Saturday), very dated, very expensive. Would NOT go again. I say: Stay in and get a take-away curry rather than go here. Can't wait for the Italian to open across the road. Also they cannot spell poppadom on the menu. (popodom is not right).
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonThe service at this restaurant is second to none but i have been here over the years and things are starting to slip smaller food portions but meal and drink prices increasing. We went on a friday night near christmas and it was not even a third full everywhere you looked there where meal deals for middle week. When we got are bill we needed another drink.Over all YES the food was good but far far too dear, also the restaurant was starting to looked dated and at this price bracket you should be getting the all round package.
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonI seriously recommend not to eat here. The first time we went was within it's first week of opening and the service was terrible. The food was not much better! We thought they might be suffering with teething problems as it was a new place so gave it another chance a few weeks later. This time I had sausage and mustard mash and paid £9.50 for it. It was not good, in fact it was disgusting! The sausages were lamb & mint but tasted of nothing and the mashed potato was cold with uncooked lumps of potato in it plus tasted like vinegar not mustard. Weird! It really does ruin you meal when you know you can make it much better yourself at home and far cheaper. I'd rather do that and wash up than eat here again. You need to make more of an effort im afraid!
The Robert Gillow – Lancasterwhat a let down, we have been visiting this place for over twenty years with different managers, the service was attrocious, with young inexperienced staff, we spoke to one waitress who said it was the first time she had worked as a waitress, and she had received no training. add to this, mediocre bland food, result a recipe for disaster
Farmers Arms and Glasshouse Restaurant – OrmskirkFantastic Weekend. It was everything we ever dreamed of. Many thanks to Joanne and David, love Emma and Stephen Walsh. (Wedding on 3rd December)
Pendle Inn – BurnleyBOTH LINDA, MYSELF, OUR FRIENDS, OUR BUSINESS CUSTOMERS AND FAMILY HAVE ALL DINED AT THE RAILWAY AND IN FACT LINDA AND MYSELF DINE THERE AT LEAST ONCE IF NOT TWICE A WEEK. I CANT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS VENUE. THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND CANT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU. IF YOU HAVENT TRIED THIS PLACE YOUR MISSING OUT.GREAT MENU AND ALWAYS VARIOUS SPECIALS AVAILABLE."TWELVE OUT OF TEN"
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleySuperb takeaway food and service fantastic
