This is my favourite place in all of Sheffield. It's calming, welcoming and inclusive with animal welfare at the heart of everything they do. The cats aren't expected or forced to interact or perform for guests- the joy is in watching them go about their daily lives amongst you while you enjoy delicious food and drinks. The cat themed games on all the tables are a great conversation starter and the staff are always so friendly and up for a natter. It's really inclusive for neurodivergent and disabled folks- there's two steps into the place that they can provide a ramp for, and the rest is one level space with plenty of seating options. If you want to just have a calm chill out spot with cats galore, this is your second home.

Absolutely love it here! I have been to tabby teas a few times now, and without fail it provides good food, cute cats, merch that deeply upsets my bank account and amazing service. Highly reccommend!

My wife and I ate here on Saturday evening and the food and service were first class. What a great little restaurant.

Lovely place. Had a fabulous meal with friends a few weeks ago so thought I would bring family for a Sunday carvery. Big mistake. Carvery was fine but service totally let the meal down. Plates left on table for ages and took forever to get a second drink and dessert menu and then one of desserts was very dry/burnt at edges. When we left a child’s toy was left on table. We went straight back in but nobody knew anything about where it had gone. Such a shame as I was so impressed first time. Won’t be going again.

Excellent service and excellent staff

Tocketts is one of my favourite places to go for a carvery. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The carvery and early bird menu are very good value for money however the drinks and puddings less so. Won't stop me going but I won't be having a desert.

Had an excellent Sunday roast at the Kings Arms. All the staff who dealt with us were professional and very attentive. We would happily return next time we are in the area.

Visited yesterday with my mam for one of our regular-ish Sunday meals out. I've been wanting to visit for a while, and neither of us was disappointed. Service was efficient and professional while still being fairly relaxed. The food was brilliant. We decided on things to share, and everything was very good. The birria tacos were lovely. Very tasty, and the beef just melted. The remains of the sauce went amazingly well with the delicious cornbread lol. Mam has already put in a bid for a return trip for her birthday - before we finished this meal! Not cheap, so definitely not a weekly treat, but absolutely worth it for an indulgent occasion. Apparently, the margaritas are very good too (I was driving. Might get a cab next time...). Very small place, though, and I'm glad we went just at opening as it got a bit noisy and felt a little crowded near the end of our visit.

Our first time in this restaurant and will definitely return. Warmly greeted and shown to our table when we arrived. We ordered a couple of the unusual cocktails as we browsed the menu. Pleased that there was already tap water on each table. We ordered 5 dishes between two of us plus coconut rice. Each dish was great- I would particulary recommend the baby gem lettuce leaf 'tacos'. The only slight negative is the 'trio of puddings' - for £12.50 you get 3 tiny, not even bite sizes. A normal pudding is cheaper (£7..50) and look bigger than the 3 we had put together - so won't be ordering the trio again. But all in all, would recommend.

Wasn't going to give a review, but as you've asked, here goes. Wrong wine delivered to the table. Wrong starter delivered to the table. Wine opened away from the table so we didn't have a cork when we wanted to take it away. £55 for the bottle surely make an effort. When the correct starter came, crab with apple. It didn't mention there was ½ a raw onion in it. Not good when you don't like onion. Ploughman's! Please dont just dump a full Apple and tomato on the plate, again please make an effort with the presentation. So in conclusion 2 x wines nice when correct, one came with screw top, opened myself so still had cap. Wrong starter, then not ideal starter, my onion soup, bloomin lovely. Goulash nice but micro rice??? Ploughman's nice but let down with presentation and poor pork pie. Sorry to give a negative review but with a bit of effort you could be great.

I'd never heard of the place until I googled "good restaurants around Halifax" & going by the reviews, we went along & weren't disappointed! Perfectly cooked fillet steak & partner had a huge mixed grill. Will definitely recommend & be back

A great place to go very friendly staff brilliant surroundings and food is always first class

Large choice of food on the menu. Unfortunately it took a very long time for the food to arrive. We asked for the children’s starters to arrive at the same time as the main course but it arrived as a starter., Everyone’s main course arrived except a main course for one child. My husband said there were no prawns in the fish pie and not much fish. He said it and the vegetables were tasteless. The fish pie was a small portion. I had a burger. The burger was tasty and big but I didn’t like the chunky chips, they were greasy and soggy. The restaurant itself was nice. The chairs were comfy but unable to tuck them under the table as the table was slightly too small for 3 chairs on each side. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and looked very smart.
