Once again a very enjoyable evening…..the service was superb and the food very tasty.

Excellent meal and service

Lovely lunch. Very nice starters of wild mushroom pate, and poulette liver pate. My choice of the lamb liver was alas not available, so I had the Toad in the Hole.... proper Yorkshire portion....great sausages and really good and plentiful veg. Fabulous. Wife had the delicious Seafood Money Bags, with super lobster sauce. Only negative was the bread, which was only ok. Good value for money with Lunch/Early Bird menu. Nice Bistro dishes.

Gotta love good luck club. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The service is pretty good and the food is always top notch.

You can not fault this restaurant great food great service have being quite a few times before and would go back any time got to be the no. 1 in Hull.

Meatopia... what can I say? An amazing collaboration with Powes, a local butcher for a total feast of steak and tasty selection of sides. I know this was a one off event but I hope you do it again. We'll certainly be back to try your standard menu. Thank you!!

Brilliant once again

Absolutely fantastic meal, we went on a Sunday for dinner. I had the whitebait starter and the slow roasted lamb for main. My boyfriend has the chicken liver parfait starter and the pork main. We then shared the clementine and lime posset for pudding as the first two dishes were substantial. The food was fantastic, the lamb was especially tender. The service was also great, the servers were really welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant area was very quiet when we were there which was very nice. Also, great value for money. Under £80 for two people with two drinks, starter, main and shared dessert. I would 100% recommend anyone going on holiday in the area to go for food here!

Excellent service and food from start to finish by all staff and a nice atmosphere. Plates are a little small for the big portions.

Enjoyed a light lunch on a rainy day in a friendly atmosphere. We booked the window table which was ready at the time requested. Everything was freshly prepared and served with a smile and pleasant greeting. A very popular venue for walkers and dogs, all accommodated with no fuss.

Would recommend this restaurant without reserve. We had a wonderful, beautifully spiced and fresh-tasting meal. The service could not have been attentive . My wife who has mobility problems, was walked across the floor on a waiters arm on our arrive, and as we left. Go. Enjoy.

Our first visit as a birthday treat. Great food, service was terrific and the restaurant really nicely fitted out. There was plenty of space on our table for the four of us (we were on the 1st floor) and all our dishes. We had 9 or 10 dishes between us and the desserts were amazing. We'll be back soon!

used to love coming here but not any more there seems to be less choice and your waiting a long time for the food to be filled back up asked twice about chips and waited ages 1st person didn't even acknowledge that I had spoken to them just looked at me and walked away . asked for lamb and both times got beef ..only my food was cooking ( i like beef so just ate it ). some of the cakes were really hard and stale and the gamon we couldn't cut . The girl that seated us was really nice and helpful and the people taking away the used plates all polite . I love how it's decorated now . The ladys toilet had 1 loo not working and 1 had no toilet paper in and the 2nd 1 only had a tiny bit ( check it has paper before you go ) also miss the unlimited drinks my children used to love they could get there own drinks
