Excellent food & service,lovely mother's day treat

Fabulous food and the best smoothies. We went for mother's day with my mom, my nan & my daughter . None of us drink so the owner made us the most amazing tasting pina colada mocktails. The chef catered to my meal request of doing poached egg even though after 12 menu . I wouldn't sit by the window again as it was very distracting and I didn't feel like it was private and intimate enough to talk freely & it was a bit draughty ( not great for winter whether) , to be fair, limited options were available on the ground floor as it was too cold to sit outside and few tables inside. The upstairs bit is more spacious. The place was very busy and could of done with more waiters or a more experienced waiter though the young girl who served us was very sweet . Overall we had a fab time and would go back especially for the mocktails and smoothies. A great place

Had an excellent lunch on the 07/03/24, the crab stack and seafood money bags were excellent. Lovely staff and great service, good relaxed atmosphere too. Plus they are dog friendly too! Looking forward to my return visit. Thanks!

We both had fish and chips, real chips, crispy batter and proper mushy peas and piping hot. My partner had the orange torte which she enjoyed, and I had the parkin, with loads of sauce and a scoop of vanilla. The "bonfire smell" of the parkin was intoxicating. This was real Yorkshire food cooked and served with love. Thank you.

I have been coming here every couple of months since before the pandemic hit (me and my kids were actually eating here when all hospitality places got the notice to shut down but we were allowed to stay and finish our meal) Since lockdowns lifted it has been every few months that we go now. Last week I had a rare get together with a couple of close friends of mine and I booked us a table to eat here. They are both meat lovers like myself and dont think they truely believed me when i saidnit is a meat lovers paradise. Neither of them could get over the food here, they absolutley loved it and were raving about it the rest of the night even though we all left fit to bursting with the amount of food we ate. It's an amazing place and I will keep going back as long as its open. My two kids absolutely love it (my son is more of a fan of the salad bar options but does enjoy most of the meat too but my daughter loves it all especially the belly pork) It's the best place I know for meat lovers (the minted lamb is my absolute fave) and even though the price has increased over the years that I have been going it is still epic value for the food and service you recieve here. Highly recommend

Our first time eating in and it was FAB. There was not one thing we could fault. The food was excellent, the staff were sooo pleasant (all of them very young too) …just smashing little place to eat and enjoy. Will be going again.

Really lovely simple Italian food. Pizza bases are thin, light and tasty and the pasta was delicious. Highly recommend. Great value for money

I organised and attended a work reunion event recently. It was ideal for it, with no loud music to get in the way of conversation, a cordoned-off area (including separate toilet) for us, a great range of beers, friendly and attentive service, and excellent food (it was great that you could just order a burger as an option as opposed to being over-faced with the usual add-ons).

Lovely food and helpful staff! Cant fault how hard they work in there. Only thing I will say is we did wait a while for our food when we had submitted a pre order but everything came out without any issues.

We were fortunate to have a nice table close to the fire. Service was a little chaotic but pleasant enough. Waited almost an hour for starters to be served which was rapidly followed by the main course. Overall the food and wine was a reasonable standard and reasonably priced. Overall a good atmosphere and pleasant room

I couldn’t fault the food, but the experience was let down by the lack of attention to service. My order was forgotten, not ideal when paying upfront for the food. The manager apologised.

Excellent dining experience, warm and cosy ambiance, friendly staff and attentive customer service from the outset, tasty and varied menu, good choice of wines and drinks, and the food was delicious and well presented.

Husbands birthday meal was absolutely delicious, second time we have been and will definitely be back
