It’s been a while since I’ve been to Brooks as I haven’t been going out. My dinner there yesterday evening reminded me why I love this restaurant so much. We had five dishes plus Pol Roti bread between two of us and nothing disappointed - delicious flavours and just the right amount of food. We followed up the savours with a dessert to share – what’s not like about cookie dough and ice cream!? We had a lovely round table on the ground floor and were very warmly welcomed by the owners who cannot do enough to make you comfortable. It’s like a home from home. I’ll be back much sooner next time.

The Service was excellent even though the restaurant was busy. However the food quality and the buffet refills were not done properly. From 7:30pm to 9:30pm the soup was not available and many other dishes were never refilled. I must say the live counters were great.

Popped in for a quick lunch on way back to Wetherby. Ordered from dim sum and main menu . Dim sum menu the best we’ve seen outside of China Towns . All very fresh tasty snd delicious , piping hot . Food from main menu also delicious, fresh cooked and hot . Salt and pepper ribs are top notch . Also Cantonese roast duck . Ordered far too much as usual but staff very kindly bagged it up to take home . Lovely food, nice decor and atmosphere. Lovely friendly staff .

The usual warm welcome and value meal for those of us with small appetites. I had the pie and chips. The chips were disappointing and tasted like they had been warmed up. There was no problem changing my peas to mushy peas. I ordered rum baba as a a dessert. These were very dry and hadn’t been soaked long enough. After mentioning it to our waitress , the item was removed from the bill with no quibbles. The orange sticky sauce was delicious. My wife had the daily roast which was excellent. This will not put us off from returning.

This was a first visit in along time for Sunday Lunch at the Kings Arms and we were mightily impressed. The food we had was fantastic. Served fresh and piping hot. On top of this, the service from the staff was outstanding. Being frequent visitors to the Yorkshire Dales and Askrigg, we will certainly be calling in for Sunday Lunch and Drinks again.

Great food

Warm welcome, very attentive staff and service and a pleasant ambience in this proper old pub. Sunday lunch menu in line with what you would expect and the food was enjoyable. Good wine list and reasonably priced.

Second time visiting Panuzzos for Sunday lunch...staff brilliant...service brilliant...and the food was amazing...we will be back

Very good meal and Very good service

We had Sunday lunch for 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children at 12.15. The atmosphere was lovely, very warm. The layout of the table wasn’t ideal and even with 2 young children the table was too small - one person ended up sitting on the end right by the door so kept their coat on and one person had to balance their plate where the tables joined together with a very uneven surface. When we asked for help the staff just said none of the tables really seat 6 so we just had to manage. Staff were very nice and friendly but incredibly slow service, we had to ask and chase for everything as & when we managed to catch their attention. Food was average at best. The Sunday roast was pretty shocking! Beef delicious and rare but the vegetables were shrivelled & had clearly been sat for ages, the roast potatoes weren’t roast and the Yorkshire puddings were so burnt (they were black!) none of us could eat them. There’s no way they should have been served and in hindsight we should have sent them back. The children’s burger was a generous portion but again it was burnt so we ended up having to scrape & cut the burnt bits off. The children’s pizza was tiny compared to size of children’s burger but a good pizza. Unfortunately we didn’t stay for dessert because the food was so poor and service so slow. Based on the great reviews (which is why we booked) I wonder if we were just unlucky and the chef was off so they had a temp in and the staff were a team member down.

My husband and I enjoyed your taster menu on Saturday. The service was excellent and the 8 courses even better. None of the courses were a disappointment; the flavours and presentation were spot on. We will be back to taste your food again.

Fabulous food, superb service, awesome atmosphere. Overall a delightful meal for the 4 of us.
