Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreFood was really nice but put off by the waiters hovering around whilst we were trying to have a romantic meal.
Master Chef Tandoori Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreExcellent service & food
A Passage To India – Liverpool City CentreMy Ego experience was very enjoyable and highly recommened
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreTry to get a table on the raised bit behind the glass sculptures. You get your own wine and food waiter who are both knowledgeable. Food was fantastic with mini courses arriving at no extra cost. Superb night.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreThe food was excellent - delicious pasta and home made pizza. It was also cheap. We had gone intending to use a voucher we had which entitled us to 2 courses for £10, but quickly realised the menu prices were cheaper than this anyway. However, the menu is boring - bog standard pasta and pizza with only one or two interesting dishes. Apparently there is a specials board, but as none of the waiters told us about this, I have no idea what was on it. The service was very poor - one waitress was particularly rude - suggesting 3 times we hadn't booked, when actually we had and the restaurant was less than half full anyway. They were also unable to provide us with wine glasses and we therefore had to drink our wine out of tumblers. I'm no wine expert, but there's a reason people don't drink it out of a cheap tumbler - because it spoils the taste. It was also not properly chilled. This restaurant could be fantastic - they clearly know how to cook, and if they just dimmed the lighting, the ambiance would be nice too - relaxed and friendly. Overall, though, it needs some work.

Gusto – Liverpool City CentreLarge Chinese restaurant in the heart of Liverpool's Chinatown. Friendly welcome from staff on arrival. Very busy on the ground floor when we arrived so we were escorted to a room upstairs which is used during busy periods. Very nice surroundings, beautiful food and right in the heart of town. The ideal place to start / end the evening.
