Bistro West 156 – DidsburyThankyou all for a very nice dining experience. We accompanied the legendary 'Indian of the Group' former Mothers Of Invention drummer Jimmy Carl Black when he enjoyed one of your superb curries on Sunday May 18th. 2008. We all had a great time and the food was top notch as usual. Thanks again, we'll see you soon.
Shere Kahn – RusholmeStill our fave Chinese - we've been going for 6 years now. We're always accommodated even when they are busy & we haven't booked. Staff are friendly as ever - will do your order as you want. Nice rose wine. We're taking a party of 10 there tonight. Cant wait!
Choy Hing Village – SaleI ate at room with friends on Thursday night. I have to say it was truly a memorable experience. The attentiveness and knowledge of the staff was fantastic. The food was second to none. Try the Beef Bourguignonne, meltingly tender packed with the rich flavours you'd expect. My pals went for the risotto and the sirloin steak. They were blown away also. While we were waiting they even brought us a taster of roasted carrott soup. Believe me i make good soups but this was off the radar. Great job Room. I'll definitely be going back.
Grand Pacific restaurant and bar – Manchester City CentreHaving just had a lunch time meal at the Pacific (9 June) I can only describe it as very poor. There was little choice and the food was not replenished as it ran out. The staff attitude was take it or leave it. I shall certainly not be visiting this establishment again
Pacific – Manchester City CentreWe were really looking forward to eating at Amici after reading the good reviews. However, it was one of the worst restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. Service was average at best and staff were disinterested and vague. Our starters arrived very quickly - not a good thing as they had obviously been sitting there, cooked, for a looooong time (not a good thing for one of the specials!) Main course was better but I found a piece of bacon in my 'seafood' pasta - an obvious mistake, but when I mentioned it to the waiter he did not seem at all interested - good thing I'm not allergic to bacon!
Amici – StockportFirst visit but extremely impressed, great food, fast effective service, reasonably priced and will be going again. The setting is traditionally Mediterranean with adequate parking in fact everything was a plus except the house band playing Beatles music hardly what you would expect in a tapas bar.
Tapios Restaurant – Middletonwe went to eastzeast on a saturday night and am pleased to say that we had booked and therefore were not having to queue up for a table. Although the food was excellent we felt like we were on a conveyor belt and were rushed to order both food and drinks. The service was average to say the least especially at the end of the meal when we were asked if we could leave the table as they had a big queue. i think i would prefer to stick to the more traditional Indian restaurant in the future.
East z East – Manchester City CentreThe Persia Grill House is a little gem, small and cosy inside, the staff are friendly and inviting. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, try the lamb shanks served with rice with dill and broadbeans for something different and very tasty. Great for going out with your partner or a small group of friends, the 'bring your own' policy ensures a fun and inexpensive night for all!
Persia Grill House – ChorltonDined here with a group of night school friends in celebration of taking our GCSE in Spanish. Atmosphere was lovely, food was great, service friendly, meal offer meant we got to try some dishes we might not usually order. FANTASTIC Great local gem !!
La Salsa – HorwichLocal, nice atmosphere, good spacing of tables, excellent service
Ning – Northern QuarterI went there recently with my family. Within 3 hours we were all suffering symptoms of food poisoning. We were all violently sick and had crippling diarrhea. Standards are disgusting, look for yourself, look at the carpets. No Chinese people go there anymore. We all know how bad the food is!
Glamorous – Northern QuarterMy wife and I have gone regularly, sometimes with our son, for the last 10 years. I take family there for celebrations and even take my workmates! Superb atmosphere, reasonable prices, good choice, pleasant staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Romano's to all! I have family in Hyde/Rochdale who we eat out with regularly, and if we mention Italian, they always say "Lets go to Romano's!"
Romanos – OldhamI was really disappointed after going for many years. I had a set party menu but chocolate cake wasnt on it - despite having 2 weeks notice and advantage of pre-order they refused to accommodate. They were argumentative when a friend advised there was hair in her food I gave 18 deposits before the night. A couple who had just had a young baby wanted to come but did not wish to pay deposits in case they had to back out last minute. I was advised even though 18 deposists had been submitted, if I included these 2 on the final numbers and they did not attend the restaurant would still subtract £10 extra off the final bill Inflexible and unwilling to accommodate. the food on the party menu was also sub standard. It's a shame as I have been going for years and used to love the place.
The Italian Job Restaurant – UrmstonMy god what a fantastic place to dine! This is one of the best restaurants that I've ever been to!!! Me & my partner went on Friday night, turned up fashionably late (wasn't my fault-The Mrs!) but they still catered for us with no hassle, even though it was packed! no waiting. The service was fantastic, the chefs are unbelievable with their knife skills & entertainment for the guests... I would recommend this restaurant to anybody as they can cater for anybody, don't be thinking its all about fish/sushi, there's plenty of choice for anyone, any age. FANTASTIC!
Sapporo Teppanyaki Manchester – Manchester City CentreWhat a fantastic place. The food was great quality, with a varied menu. The experience of the chefs is obvious, they do great things with local produce. The setting was great too, a traditional pub with a restaurant extension and rural views that go on as far as the eye can see. All in all, an excellent experience.
Church Inn The – BuryWhat can I say.....sensational! We ate there last night (saturday)This place got recommended to us by an Indian mate of mine. The food was delicious, the surroundings very trendy and the service was excellent. All in all a great night and very well priced. The Best Indian restaurant in Manchester if not the North-West.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreMy wife and i moved to the daisy hill area only 12 months ago and after giving birth to our first child we never got the chance to try out andiamos. However, he's now 7 months old and we got the in laws to babysit to give us the chance to sample this restaurant. We went on a saturday night and even though we booked the night before we couldn't get a seat at the time we wanted(8.15) so we had to take an 8.45 slot which was fine but it just goes to show you the popularity of this restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and immediately we felt at home. We were shown to our table were unfortunately we weren't offered any drinks and this was the only little thing that went against the place the whole night but as soon as you were tucking into your food this wasn't a problem. I presume it was just a one off as there were 2 big parties in there and maybe they weren't thinking straight, but, like i said, this wasn't any sort of a problem. We ordered a garlic bread with cheese for starters (a must have at any Italian restaurant) and the one between us was very filling so we were glad that our main meal was around another 10 minutes after we had finished. I know that some restaurants rush your main meal out to you but andiamos seemed happy to have your company and we certainly weren't rushed. For our main meal, we looked on the menu for the fillet gorgonzola, a favourite of ours from past Italian restaurants but unfortunately this wasn't to be seen, however, we did ask the lady(who i think was one of the owners) and they actually did it for us, a very nice touch which you probably wouldn't get at most other restaurants. We then asked what the potatoes to be served were as my wife can be quite fussy when it comes to potatoes and when we were told it was to be sliced potatoes i ordered a bowl of chips as well, however the lady didn't charge us for the chips and gave us a mixed portion of the potatoes and the chips, again, a really nice touch. Unfortunately we were so stuffed we couldn't manage a dessert but seeing other people around us have one you could clearly see that they were big portions. This restaurant is situated only 5 minutes walking distance from our house so will be ideal for a weekend treat, it's surroundings and interior are beautiful and the whole experience of dining here was one of the finest we've had. We are happy we finally got a chance to sample andiamos and we would very highly recommend this place to anybody, thankyou for a lovely evening.
