Excellent food, interestingly different, beautifully presented, lovely surroundings. Staff attentive and friendly. A cushion on our seats would have been a bonus!

Amazing food and service with a smile

We went to Grants a few years ago and weren’t impressed at the time but OMG what a difference last night. A wide choice of dishes, fantastic lovely tasting food, staff were courteous and efficient without putting pressure on us to finish. A great night out and we will definitely go again

We were a family group of 4 on holiday and visited after seeing good reviews. We had a wonderful evening. The food and wine was excellent. We all made different choices and had 3 courses. A welcoming friendly service from this family run restaurant. Highly recommended.

Very warm welcome and friendly service. Great pub food. We watched the football in bar and they had kindly allowed us to park our campervan overnight. Very good location for Pooley Bridge and Penrith. Thank you for your hospitality.

We visit you once a month. We love the atmosphere and the staff are great, but over the last few months we have found the menu rather disappointing.

Stayed in Penrith overnight on our way south from working in Scotland and happened upon this place. We were tired and hungry and sick of pub grub, and it was SUCH a breath of fresh air. Lovely food, attentive service and good value for money, would absolutely recommend.

Booked a meal for our daughter’s graduation after reading great reviews on trip advisor. Very welcoming and friendly host. Great service and fantastic food. It’s a shame don’t live nearer as would eat here regularly. Would definitely recommend.

We booked here at the last minute. Food was absolutely delicious unusual for us but we had 3 courses and couldn’t fault any of the food. Just wish it was closer to home so we could visit more. Would highly recommend

Enjoyed our meal on Saturday. The food was delicious, generous portions and the smaller plates size was still a really good ample amount.. The dessert was worth making room for, so good. Staff were friendly and helpful, so glad we visited.
