Had a fantastic first date here! The food was excellent and the service was wonderfully friendly. Everything was top-notch, except they weren't able to make me a Negroni. Otherwise, it would have been a solid 5 stars. Will definitely be back for the food and service!

Very tasty Sunday lunch. Well presented too. Love the quirky touches round the inn. An excellent team, kitchen and front of house. A great location, in the historic village of Dacre.

We have been at Grants several times and have always been made to feel very welcome , The food has been superb each time. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our friends took us to Grant's for a celebration. What a delight. We were thrilled with the presentation of our delicious food and the cooking on that note was off the scale. All round delicious. Of particular note were the puddings. Service was friendly, well timed, attentive and yet discrete, perfect.

Excellent food friendly service pleasant ambiance inside Resturant. We had beetroot cheese tart for starter and haddock risotto main course both dishes cooked to perfection.

Lovely, traditional pub. Very welcoming staff, roaring fire and good, home-cooked food at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely lovely food. The duck on specials board was cooked to perfection with delightful accompaniments. The chocolate malt desert with pistachio was just a heavenly end to a fabulous meal. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back.

10/10 for the food. Best meal out we have had in a long time. As a chef I can be critical but both of our meals were excellent home made feasts. We will be back the next time we are out that way.

Delicious food and terrific service. I had the fillet steak cooked to perfection and my husband had venison which he loved. Loved the trio of seafood starter too. Very friendly and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome Will definitely return

The food was fabulous, the new chef is very talented. The atmosphere was a little quiet, but it was a Wednesday evening in February. It always feels warm and homely. It is a little on the pricey side but the food is more than a notch above normal pub fare. We will definitely be back.
