My meal at Grants was excellent as was the service. I was surprised by the lack of people on a Friday night because the quality of the producd and chefs skills are 5/5. The wine selection is outdated and the interior.

Stayed at the Queens Head Inn 2 nights over the weekend with family. What a fantastic place. The Inn has so much character and a lovely ambience. The staff were probably the friendliest and welcoming we have ever met in a hotel, they go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay for their guests. We ate in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. The food was gorgeous. It was fresh and good quality and enjoyed by all in our party. Highly recommend the Queens Head Inn and we will definitely be back.

My wife and I diner here on a quiet night, but as before the food and service was very good, good choice of drinks so we will be back again within the near future.

Great stay , great dinner and great brekkie...well done guys.

Food and service great thanks again

We ate there last night 30th October, the food was excellent. The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere score was not a 5 as it was a Wednesday night and most customers were leaving as we arrived later in the evening. We will definitely dine there again in the near future it is well worth the 40 mile round trip

We had a lovely meal at the Queens Head. We had a drink in the bar first which had a lovely ambience and atmosphere. The restaurant was delightful with the food and service being top quality. Recommend booking as it is very popular.

We had a fantastic evening on the 25th October. The service was excellent: very friendly and efficient. The food was amazing. I had the scallops to start followed by the fillet steak and finished off with the raspberry mousse. All 3 courses were superb and the steak was one of the best I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Restaurant was lovely and cosy and warm , very relaxed . good choice of wine and the food was exceptional. We really enjoyed it . The staff went above and beyond and really cared and we felt so welcome . Looking forward to our next visit

Grants of Castlegate is a spectacular restaurant. The service is impeccable, the food exquisite, the service second to none and the atmosphere warming. For any occasion whether dinner or afternoon tea Grant's is the place to go. We will be going back.

The food and service at Grants in Penrith were both excellent. Unfortunately the interior decor (only saw the front part of the restaurant) was not as inviting. Needs 'softening' in some respect.

A very good meal, tasty, well cooked and well presented. Minor point was a little too much salt in the creamy mash for my palate. Atmosphere is pleasant but touch Spartan. However, excellent value and we will return.
