Lovely pub, great atmosphere with very attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday roasts, the ladies particularly appreciated the small(child) portions which didn’t outface them. Good value for excellent quality food.

Wonderful meal from the Christmas Menu. Amazing turkey and the roasted cod was stunning. A cut above usual pubs that have the same menus. Lovely family get-together -thank you!

The H& F is Consistently good . Had the festive menu, which was superb quality and amazing value for money. Super friendly helpful staff, amazing delicious food. One of our favourite places to dine.

A lovely meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Good service, excellent food and a nice setting spoilt only by the loud, intrusive table next to us.

Equally as good as the last time we had been. I would highly recommend grants to anyone, meal sizes are a little on the smaller size, but your paying for quality and you can top portions up with the nice sides they have to offer. I personally had 3 courses and a side with the main, I wasn’t overly stuffed afterwards so the balance is spot on! The menu is also not over cluttered and I would of been happy with pretty much every option!

This is a fine old pub with a friendly atmosphere and good service. We enjoyed an excellent meal there for our pre-Christmas get-together - they have a good chef!

We had an excellent meal last night at the Horse and Farrier in Dacre to celebrate my birthday. We were looked after by Charlotte and Emma who were attentive and friendly. We never eat anywhere else now on our visits to Wayermillock.

A return visit to Penrith last week and we again picked Grant's for our evening meal. Lovely food on a small and select menu. We weren't disappointed in our choices and the wines were also exceptionally good. The restaurant is really worth stopping at if you're passing through the area.

Main courses of Turkey & Belly Pork were excellent including the vegetables, despite Belly Pork not being my preferred meat. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the turkey. My desert (Tira Misu) I was not impressed with. It bore more of a resemblance to a choux pastry chocolate eclair than Tira Misu. Service as always was excellent

Lovely venison pie (great pastry) and well cooked veg, delicious Xmas pud too. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Good value. Little cold though as we were by the window.

What a fantastic little pub. We loved our early evening meal here on Saturday evening. The atmosphere, decor and service was absolutely wonderful. All the dishes were lovely and the menu was seasonal and varied.

We were a large family group including one child and we couldn’t have had a better evening!! The food was wonderful, so tasty and served so quickly. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was really relaxing and laid back. We all enjoyed our meal( including our vegan nephew) and would thoroughly recommend a visit!! In fact, we hope to return when we’re next in Penrith.
