The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordAfter spending a whole day at the 1940’s weekend we pre booked a Sunday dinner at “The Swan” in Ironbridge . Absolutely amazing and tasty Sunday roast . I will definitely promote the friendly service and the gorgeous food . I gave my compliments to the chef and kitchen staff .We will definitely return when we are next in the area ! Thank you all so very much .
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordThis was our third visit for Sunday lunch and again did not disappoint. The food is out of this world. The best pub Sunday lunch ever. You don’t need a knife just a fork and spoon.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordStaff were incredible, food was lovely, cocktails were amazing. But there is a funny drain smell there.
The Underground – ShrewsburyWe booked a table to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were really looking forward to a steak. Service was very friendly. As it was a Thursday we were going to have the Thursday deal of 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £45, unfortunately the white wine in the offer was one that we wouldn’t like so we opted to select of the main menu. We ordered the pork belly starter and the focaccia with whipped beef dripping . These were both delicious. I ordered Ribeye steak (medium rare) and my husband ordered rump (medium rare) with sides of beef dripping chips and a salad with Parmesan and pine nuts. These came quite quickly but if I’m honest we were underwhelmed. Both steaks were chewy, my husband’s more than mine and my steak was barely warm. Such a shame because the atmosphere is really nice. We would probably not book again.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyMeal was very tasty, steak cooked to perfection and desserts just as delicious, lovely atmosphere, polite and attentive staff. If I had one criticism, I do think the chips should be included in the price.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyFirst time going yesterday, food was some of the best ive had in a long term. Service was incredible, my new favourite place!
The Queens Head – OswestryVery good service.food excellent....never really disappointed....incredibly consistent over many years.
The Queens Head – OswestryHad food here last night and it was delicious and the staff are so friendly. Will definitely be back again
Water Rat – IronbridgeCame here on Saturday evening for my husband‘s 60th birthday. It was extremely busy to the point of being hectic due to.WW2 weekend in Ironbridge. Being so small and popular, I think the restaurant struggled a little and some diners had to be seated in the neighbouring pub the white heart. We were told that we would be better getting our own drinks from the White Hart and bringing them in rather than wait to be served them by the young lady serving, which was a little inconvenient .however the evening was lovely and the food absolutely amazing. we had a great time and will definitely be returning on a quieter evening.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeWe booked a Wake for 40 people last Thursday. Kerry was looking after us and was lovely/ very attentive! What a fabulous spread! We chose the cold buffet and there was so much choice and plenty of vegetarian options too. Very generous quantity too. Kerry willingly packaged up left overs for us to take home. Just the right cosy atmosphere too for our little gathering. Strongly recommend!
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyVery warm welcome lovely location just off the Montgomery canal very easy access for wheelchair and stick users . Excellent food and drinks very very dog friendly an absolute gem . Thankyou
The Queens Head – OswestrySunday lunch was very good with large portions. Despite being very busy, service was excellent and staff very friendly.
The Queens Head – OswestryReally enjoyed the casual yet professional experience. This venue suits a chilled vibe or a special occassion, both with exceptional service and experience service. 100% rate Ribeye as one of the best, if not the best places to eat in Shrewsbury.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyBooked a table for 1.30pm on Sunday. The young man who took us to our table seemed very busy , in my opinion too busy to check on us at any point in our visit. pub was not busy but still took nearly 50 minutes to send out a Sunday roast board, when we recieved our food it was cold ..... we had no check back on our food order either which could have sorted our issues... We ordered a Sunday tray for 2 however the amount of meat was just about enough for 1, veg was all cold. And toasties were just lukewarm , mashed pots tasted good but as the theme cold... I requested extra gravy to heat our meal up but again just luke warm. cauliflower cheese ordered as a side came out in yellow water ???? No thickened bechemel or cheese top I am a chef myself and was looking forward to my meal here a change of pace from my usual Sunday in telford. The saving grace for here was the young lady behind bar, she noted issues with food going out on Sunday and discounted meal and provided free desserts, its such a shame as I have seen quality from here that's why I booked my day off meal here. Im happy that after I told bar of issues all other customers enjoyed hot food
