Very good venue with good quality food and drink

Great little pub, lovely location on the river. We had the afternoon tea, it was lovely, food was great, service is also great. We've been before and will definitely be visiting again.

The lamb special was absolutely amazing and my husband really enjoyed the duck and the chips are to die for every time we eat here! :)

Shared with group of 7. Plenty of choice, everyone was happy with their meals. Would definitely recommend a trip to The Queens Head.

Lovely food ,smiling staff,makes a lot of difference. Omelette were amazing,so fluffy. Pizza good. I would certainly recommend you to friends and family.

The pub was lovely, staff great and couldn’t do enough for you. The issues came with the food. Unfortunately two of us got sick after eating the beef bourginon. I was sick and mother in law had bad diarrhoea. Which was very disappointing as it was a family event to celebrate my birthday. The food starters were good. Mains had mixed feedback as above and desserts were ok but weren’t all eaten, rhubarb crumble was too big and the crumble was solid. I hope these comments help and improve the food as the rest of the experience was very good.

Wonderful Sunday lunch as always. Staff are super friendly and efficient. Like the fact that they let us have children’s meals as we are older and don’t eat a full meal. Lovely surroundings too.

Lovely top quality food and really good friendly service. Met up with my cousin and husband for lunch on Saturday. Booked in advance and it was a lovely convenient place to meet half way.

A group of 12 of us booked a table for cocktails and we had a lovely time. The cocktails were lovely and the service was great. We will definitely be back to try the food.

Everyone was so lovely and accommodating and really made my boyfriend’s birthday feel special! Some of us were running late but it wasn’t a problem at all. Lovely food, chill background music, very friendly service and a very pleasant atmosphere. Thank you so much!

A hidden gem, the food was delicious, we had the sharing platter, cooked to perfection. The staff were very nice, the ambience perfect. Will be going again, soon hopefully!

Hi, we had a meal with you on Saturday, the food was to your usual high standards but unfortunately the one and only waitress working who was clearly trying her hardest was completely overwhelmed and hadn’t been trained to do what she was tasked with ! The time between courses and clearing plates was far too long and two of the meals served were not as ordered, when challenged over this the waitress said she had checked with the kitchen and the meals were as ordered, but they definitely were the wrong dish, they were ordered as tempura vegetables with Tia curry but vegetable kebabs on flatbread was served. We didn’t complain any more and paid the bill in full. Whilst we don’t like to complain we feel you need to know about these shortfalls in order to help you improve. We will definitely be back to see you in the future and hope this can help you improve the customer experience. Best wishes Nick
