Our first time at the Queen's Head. Relaxed atmosphere, great food and the prices are OK too. We had the Paella, brilliant. Our friends both had cod and they enjoyed their meal. The QH is a halfway meeting point for us and those friends. Absolutely certain that we'll go again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meals, Hunters Chicken was delicious & looked like some effort gone into it, rather than a thin breast steak poured with bbcue sauce. This was a delicious good sized rolled chicken in scrumptious bbcue sticky sauce with bacon & cheese, chips & salad was great too. Had 2 course deal so had the lemon meringue & it was delicious. £25pp meal deal was excellent: 2 course & drink. Lovely environment, clean & tidy Staff were great All in all great place to dine, gonna try Sunday lunch after reading reviews. Will be back. & thank you to the staff

Another lovely meal at The Swan. This is definitely one of our favourite places to visit for a meal. We visited with our 3 young children on this occasion, the staff were fabulous with them, really friendly and accommodating . Food was delicious as always. Great service and lovely location. Will be back again soon.

Good value and tasty Sunday lunch with plenty of vegetables, cauliflower cheese and extra gravy. Excellent service from very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was nice and hot and served very quickly. Beef a little tough but overall good meal and will certainly return. Recommended.

We booked for afternoon tea, fab time was lovely! Staff were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely book again!

Service was relaxed and friendly. I hadn't been feeling well but they where happy for me to have a light salad. We were a party of 4 and everyone really enjoyed the food We will be back.

Excellent food and service, staff are very professional if you are in this area a reservation here is a must.

The food was superb and the service excellent too. We are never disappointed when we choose to dine here and must visit more often. I recommend the mixed starter for two and the beef fillet with chilli, best meal ever. We were spoilt for choice on desserts and again first class quality.

I have been going to the queens head for a number of years and always had an outstanding meal. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case this time. We both had a burger, the bacon was very over done and dry. The beef burger was as dry as a bone, very over cooked. Neither burgers had any sauce so were dry. Won’t rush back

What a lovely surprise!! Afternoon tea with a difference! Great food, lovely, happy, friendly and very helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. This is located in a beautiful old building with loads of history connected with it. I have no problem recommending this establishment and would urge people to "give it a go"!
