Bottomless brunch. Sorry wasn't sure i should review or not because I didnt want to seem negative but after speaking to a friend who owns a restaurant she said.... no truth no improvement? So........ If im honest this was actually a huge disappointment to other venues. The atmosphere- hugely lacking!! Only our table in and wasn't even background music for atleast the first half. Dark & Dingy....was how my friend described it :( The cocktail menu doesn't have a description and whilst the staff are happy to stand telling you the content- its time consuming. When theres loads coming in from the beer garden to the same bar.... its not ideal. The alcohol was mainly sours and they just taste like juice. Staff- The poor lad was ran ragged.... he was lovely but just understaffed. The food- sorry but when your asked how you want your steak and you say "medium" and they say " sorry chef says bleeding or burnt" your expectation becomes poor. However, im afraid the quality of the steak just wasn't worth eating. The chicken was dry and like Iceland content. The cheese dippers had no cheese and the rest not worth a mention. :( Sadly- having ate and drank here many of times over decades.......this really wasnt worth the time or money. Such a shame considering it was my friends first bottomless brunch as she lives abroad and hadnt seen me in 5yrs! The saving grace, however- was that after the brunch we had some real cocktails/ spirits then the band come on ( great band) the evening turned around. Just ashame my bank balance really had to pick up the slack from the brunch. Then Mds on the way home :( I will say however that the normal food and drink as well as the usual vibe ( not BB) is fab.

We recently visited for a 50th birthday celebration with a group of 22. The food was lovely—well-presented, flavourful, and enjoyed by everyone. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite live up to the standard of the food. While staff were friendly and polite, there were delays and a lack of attentiveness at times, which was disappointing for such a special occasion. Overall, a nice meal, but improved service would make a big difference.

Always good food at The White Hart and this time was no exception. The staff were very friendly and attentive too which is always appreciated. Lovely chilled and calm surroundings, dog friendly in both the restaurant and the bar area which we love. My only small criticism was that the shepherds pie (which was really tasty) could have been made a little thicker to avoid the mash potato being completely absorbed into it (had maybe better served in a wider but shallower dish too for my preference). Shepherds pie is one of my all time favourites and a nice creamy/browned mash on the top (ideally charred around the edge) is the crowning glory :)) The club ciabatta was great, as were the 3 sides we ordered too.

Booked a table online for 7:30, turned up and was told the kitchen was closed. Did enquire why it allowed a food booking if it was closed but was just told “yeah we need to update that”. A more proactive approach could have been contacting me when the booking was made to tell us the kitchen wouldn’t be open. Was prompted by email to leave a review following our visit, probably another thing worth updating. Very disappointing and lack of care for the inconvenience it caused.

Had a very nice meal when we went for the Quiz night recently. Been a few times now and the food is lovely. I had the faggots and they are the best I have had. My wife enjoyed the crispy chilli beef. Staff very attentive and helpful. Would recommend a visit

Good food and great service, Unfortunately the restaurant was not busy so it lacked atmosphere and the air conditioning made the restaurant cold which also caused our food to be cold

Food was lovely, staff where friendly, however we took our two children with coeliac disease there after being told they can cater for them and they were ill after. Would recommend just not for anyone with Ceoliac Disease

Sadly our visit to the smokey cow for my husbands birthday celebration was extremely disappointing. The food arrived almost 2 hours after our arrival, even when most the meals came out my daughter waited another ten minutes for her fish. We were left waiting for drinks orders. There was a hair mixed into the brisket which was revolting. There was lipstick marks on the glasses. We will not be returning. Not sure why it was this poor.

As always, a first class meal. We love this restaurant and it’s so good to have local places that never disappoint. It’s well worth the price of the set meals. Will be back again very soon.

Group of 10 for bottomless brunch. Service was excellent, very attentive staff and the drinks were excellent. The only very small negative was the portion sizes of the tacos were very small . We needed to order extra food to fill us up which ended up costing quite a bit more .
