The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe were welcomed into the cosy restaurant atmosphere and we looked forward to our evening. As we have enjoyed eating here before. Our drinks order was taken and they arrived promptly. Great start, unfortunately after 40 minutes waiting I got up and looked for a waitress and asked her if it was possible to order our food. She did apologise and took our order which we got about 20 mins later. 3 of us ordered the fish pie and one ordered the cottage pie. The portions were very small and were not big eaters, it was served with stem broccoli my husbands portion was just 5 stems! No florets! The fish was scarce and I had no prawns. It was poor. The cottage pie was tasty but more like a starter than a main course. The menus was quite limited and not very enticing. The water rats website seemed to show every menus except the regular one. Lunch, early bird, Christmas! Sorry not impressed.
Water Rat – IronbridgeSuper meal made even better by fabulous staff. My only criticism is the reliance on Gordon's Gin...there are sooo many excellent artisanal gins out there...Gordons is a lazy option. Thank you so much for a super evening.
The Bull – ShrewsburyAbsolutely wonderful experience here - 4 adults and an infant on Saturday afternoon. Special thanks to the chef that day for being so generous and understanding with our little boy and gave him some biscuits as well as offering to cook him extra things. We felt it was good value with some nice wines on the menu and we had an all round great experience - only knocked off a star because the food all lights had a mind of their own at times with the flickering. Overall we would definitely return!
The Smokey Cow – TelfordVery good food. Very good service. Good atmosphere. Very happy will go again.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburySecond visit for us due to being so impressed with the Sunday menu last time and we really wanted to try the new menu with family. It didn't disappoint! The food was beautiful we were well looked after and had a great time! Already looking forward to our next visit. My only point is that when we asked the waitress questions about the menu and drinks choice she either said she didn't know or had to find someone to ask. Possibly extra training needed to make it perfect.
The Smokey Cow – Telford5☆☆☆☆☆ We've been going here a while, nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. We always have a lovely meal, if we have a problem staff always fix it. Could do with more vegetables on the roast dinner though. Prices are a bit steep but all good for a treat now and again. Can't recommend the bull enough.
The Bull – ShrewsburyThis place is a hidden gem. Great staff, great food. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are great with kids and dogs. We love the food and atmosphere which is why we keep coming back.
The Bull – ShrewsburyQuality of food was very good, staff were attentive. The atmosphere of the pub was friendly. Would recommend and definitely come here again!
Water Rat – IronbridgeLovely meal, fantastic fish & chips! Staff welcoming and helpful - definitely worth a visit.
The White Hart – Ironbridge12/11/2022 first visit to BK, we a tad early but was welcomed and shown to our table. Service was great and from point of order being taken the food wasn't long and OMG the food !! Perfectly cooked and every bite had amazing taste. I would 100% recommend visiting and it most certainly won't be my last visit.
The Butchers Kitchen – TelfordOne of the best meals we’ve ever had! My boyfriend had the mussels to start followed by chicken thigh burger both were really good sized portions! I had the prawn salad started and a rump steak main… the home cut chips were amazing and steak cooked perfect! Staff were very attentive, everything was reasonably priced. There was a man (presumably manager) up at the bar organising staff everything ran well, we were very impressed! If we return to Ironbridge this will definitely be our first reservation for food!
The Malthouse – TelfordReally good quality food. Really unfortunate that the staff were not trained and didn’t know anything about the food men or even the drinks menu. When asked questions the waitress and waiter didn’t have any clue about anything
The Smokey Cow – TelfordGreat service, great food, and a great atmosphere. very clean establishment and friendly staff.
The Tayleur Arms – TelfordGreat meal, great service. Lee’s always accommodating and looks after us. Food and service is great, will be back again as always! Cheers
Water Rat – IronbridgeAbsolutely loved our meal here last night, gorgeous food, fair portions, atmosphere and staff really nice. We had a table of 3, Belly Pork, Sea Bass and the Ham..... all 3 were very tasty and beautifully presented. Will definitely be coming back!
The White Hart – IronbridgeHeaded to The Swan as I was in Ironbridge on business. I got myself the "Texas Smoked Brisket" it was 3 slabs of tough toast beef. Disappointing is honestly an understatement. Got the Caramel Apple Pie for Desert to perk myself up and it was just "meh" My rating of 1/5 is fair due to these complaints.
