The Bull – ShrewsburyWe received the friendliest of welcomes from the staff on arrival. The service as excellent and the food arrived quickly and was hot and tasty. A really enjoyable evening.
The Malthouse – TelfordFantastic service, and amazing food! Highly recommend!
Water Rat – IronbridgeSadly not this time I had the beef Nachos looked interesting on the menu but the cheese was congeled the whole dish was just assembly no cooking skills involved My poor choice !! Red wine I had tasted bottled again my choice My husband had the Tilley burger which was ok Service was good as was the singer as it's our local we will be back Back to the fish and chips next time which are amazing !
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyFirst time booking here and it did not disappoint. The staff were attentive yet not intrusive, the restaurant beautifully decorated. Our food was simply delicious, served promptly and very well presented. Then there were the cocktails.....WOW!. Just epic. The old fashioned was so good we had to order more and the dry ice added a bit of fun. We'd love to come again in the summer and sit on the terrace overlooking the river. Very impressed and will definitely return
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeBurgers were brilliant, though my friend had ribs which he felt were touch. Great atmosphere and service generally, though despite being in the venue drinking and seeing lots of empty tables were told not availability, but comfortably booked online???? Didn’t understand why it was so difficult, but otherwise had a great time.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordUnfortunately for us, last Saturday we walked down to you being our local for a dinner date which resulted in an unpleasant experience. Upon being seated at 7:30, we didn’t realise a music band would be getting themselves ready to perform. Because I bad hearing, I asked if we could be re-seated at the other end which the waitress initially couldn’t do anything for but eventually very kindly re-seated us. When our food was served, the value for money for my partners £20 Smokehouse Classic was underwhelming. The ribs had not been rendered and the texture was like they had been previously frozen (dry and chewy). For me, my Mac n cheese had to be returned. The buffalo chicken and pasta were registered cold on the inside (clearly a quick blast in the microwave). The waitress was lovely and apologetic and very kindly organised a drink for me. The remaining experience of watching my partner struggle through his meal whilst being hungry Overall, it was not the evening we had hoped for which was a very big shame because I’ve enjoyed many meals here previously
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe came with our elderly and disabled mothers for Mother’s Day. For a table booked at 12. The Restaurant was empty and we were told to sit by the door, we politely asked if we could sit somewhere else as it was cold by the door. The man behind the bar said no we are fully booked. We sat by the door. As as it was busy for outside tables there were many coming and goings making us cold so only had a main course. When he asked if we wanted a sweet we said no as we were cold. When I complained and commented that whilst we were there for an hour and a half there were at least 4 suitable tables that were free within the the restaurant he said oh it’s the system. No apology, no accommodation for our request. Rude and arrogant!!! The food ok service ok but no atmosphere!
The Malthouse – TelfordBooked for Sunday lunch here & I can honestly say fantastic. The food was delicious & one of the nicest roast dinners my wife & I have had. Staff were very polite & friendly. Would definitely return if we were in the area & highly recommend a visit.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordDinner on 18 March Both had Hummus starter. Tasty, but a shame that the olives were not stoned. The pittas were standard supermarket fare. Both had belly pork to follow. Skin on my portion was flabby and inedible. To be fair, the menu did not specify that the skin would be crispy but this is something that you would expect. Sauce was good, but not enough on the plate. Only one spring onion, and that had the roots still attached....
The White Hart – Ironbridgelovely meal on mother's day, lovely service and very friendly.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordExcellent food and nice surroundings. Only small gripe is slightly slow service to pay for the meal. Other than that everything excellent
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordLovely place and restaurant, however the service was very poor took awhile for our order to be taken and waited a long time for our drinks to come too. Once we had finished the food, which wasn’t very nice as the vegetables were cold and hard and the meat was rather red ( which some people may prefer ) we asked for the desert menu which took awhile to get brought to the table. When it did the waiter was very rude saying we need to be quick as more tables are booked in. There was one female waiter in particular who just stood at the bar staring at our table every second chance she got. Would not be rushing back to go to this place…
