Fish and chip night

All the choices were super delicious and good portions. Fresh ingredients and great spices. We really enjoyed the Tom Yum Soup and the fried chicken particularly. The desserts are spectacular. Staff are very helpful and swift. A great night out and good value. Will certainly go again and again.

Good food, great service

Really nice place for an early evening meal. £17 menu great value and lovely food all round (except would agree with other review it would be better to have something other than standard prepack pitta with the hummus as a bit dry/ dull but minor point). Staff are really helpful and friendly/professional, and nice beers. Will be back.

Such a friendly welcome, staff are lovely and services is very good, food was great as always, love how its so fragrant and fresh. Having a set menu with choice of two or three course is good value.

The Swan is a nice establishment, with very friendly staff, the service was exemplary. The meal was, okay? My wife had the brisket which was delicious, and tender. I had the chicken and ribs combo, which for £20 was less impressive! The chicken, whilst tasty, was very small, and the ribs were tough, I’ve certainly had better. The proof I think is, would I order the same meal again, definite No! Would I go to Swan again, yes I would.

Have been going to the bull for sunday lunches for literal years now and is always a pleasure. Friendly staff and delicious food! Food takes slightly longer to come than most but can definitely tell that it’s due to the food being prepared fresh and everyone would prefer that! I’ve recommended this place to so many clients and they’ve always returned with positive experiences!

Everything was excellent as was thecstaff themselves. Unfortunately, we felt the staff were up against it as we felt there was not enough people serving the tables. It took an age for the puddings to arrive. Music suited us excellently

Attended on Sunday with friends. Overall lovely meal and atmosphere. Only thing I would criticise is you pay £15-£16.50 for a roast dinner and if you would like a Yorkshire pudding it’s an extra £1.50 you’d think that would be included as your paying so much for the meal.

What can i say apart from the Sunday Dinners are to die for! I had the Large Beef and Pork dinner with extra yorkies and pigs in blankets and my partner had the Half Roast Chicken and the same extras. When i left i had to have a serious think if ive ever had a better dinner! Only comment would be the gravy was a bit thin and scarce and would be better thicker and served in a boat and it would be 100% spot on! Definitely be back again! Service was great too may i add.

Lovely evening with friends at the Water Rate made to feel very welcome, lovely food with excellent service would highly recommend.

Excellent Friday night meal, and we came back again for Sunday lunch for 10 people. The food was amazing, as was the service and atmosphere. We’ll be back!

Beautiful food, very friendly and attentive service. Had a great laugh with the lads serving. Food took about 35mins but I would of waited hours for it, worth every penny and definitely worth a visit!

Had the most amazing meal on Mother's Day, food was delicious and such generous portions. Staff were super lovely, friendly and welcoming. It was such a shame that it hadn't been staffed adequately for such a large amount of diners :( it was sad to see staff running around like headless chickens both waiting on tables and serving drinks. Well done all, your hardwork definitely was noticed by us. Thank you for looking after us on such a busy day.
