Fantastic Sunday roast. Went back on the weekend and we had a fantastic Pit Master between the two if us. Amazing quality food, and fantastic taste.

Fantastic Sunday roast. Went back on the weekend and we had a fantastic Pit Master between the two if us. Amazing quality food, and fantastic taste.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordLovely friendly pub, the staff are so helpful and nothing is too much. Proper homemade food prepared and cooked on site and all fresh. The portions sizes are enormous considering the low affordable costs. Will definitely return again.
The Fox Inn – Oswestrylovely meal, lovely staff, lovely place. will be back.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Bull, one burger and one haddock goujons ciabatta. The meals were well cooked and served with a friendly smile
The Bull – ShrewsburyThis is our second visit and again we were really pleased again. The reception on arrival was friendly and an explanation was given as to what was not available that evening on the menu. We all had different meals and all enjoyed what we had. Portions sizes were good. In all this was an excellent dining experience.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordFab food!! Beautiful decor and lovely ambience
The Last Inn – NewportVery pleasant surroundings excellent service and very friendly helpful staff. The food was prepared and tasted perfect We had a great time and a very enjoyable night. I would definitely recommend and return again.
The White Hart – IronbridgeExcellent food. Friendly staff. We'd definitely go again.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWe went for Sunday Lunch and the meals were very good. The beef dinner was really enjoyed especially by my wife,s visiting brother from Australia. The young man serving us was polite, helpful with a sense of humor. We have been to the Malthouse on afew occasions and have never been disappointed.
The Malthouse – TelfordLovely food and service. The setting is beautiful. Would prefer if there were a choice of non-alcoholic cocktails but there was a selection of other options. Food and drinks were all thoughtfully presented.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeWe had a lovely 2 course meal at The Bull on 10th May 2023. The food was fantastic, well cooked, well presented and tasty. The atmosphere was quiet but this doesn't bother us, and it was a Wednesday night which could explain why it was quiet. Service was very good, friendly and helpful. Overall we were very happy with our food and the service we were given.
The Bull – ShrewsburyThis was our first visit. We thought we'd give it a try for one of our regular nights out. We had prebooked a table but on arrival had to wait for it to be ready. Not too long so not really an issue but given we were expected & there were empty tables would have expected it to have been ready. The service overall was quite poor. The server started to reel off the menu options before we had sat down so most of us missed what was said. Our drinks arrived quickly enough & when we ordered we were told a large order had been placed so we'd have to wait a little while for our food. Happy with that. The rest of the service though was poor. We had to wait ages for our empty plates to be cleared. We gave up waiting for the dessert menus & fetched them ourselves. We then had to chase them to take our dessert order. The server was unable to describe what the desserts were like when asked. Then we had to chas3 again for the bill. The food was excellent & we all enjoyed what we had. There weren't enough staff for the number of customers & this sadly impacted on what was a good night. Unless the service improves we are unlikely to return which is a great shame as the food really was good.
The Last Inn – NewportCame for a 30th Birthday meal, there were 11 of us. Food was 50/50, the food that came out that wasn't 'smoke house food' such as burgers, hot dogs and pasta was great! Though the smoke house brisket and smoke house ribs were a huge let down. I may have the wrong end of the stick and it may be just a name, but I thought it would taste like smoked meat, very little flavor unfortunately. Please please turn the PA down just a little bit on an acoustic act at 8:30pm lol. Great friendly staff, nice atmosphere (before music), would go again but probably at lunch time and not order any 'smoked' meat.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordLet's start on a positive, the food was lovely. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. Its like stale musty filthy damp carpets and it never went away. We were one of the first tables in for Sunday lunch and there were six of us. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks. The serving staff were all very young and inexperienced which isn't their fault, they need training. I asked what kind of fish was in the fish and chips and the waitress said she didn't know so I asked her to find out. It was haddock which I can't eat so I'm glad I asked. The food arrived and it looked and tasted lovely, I can't fault the food. We ordered more drinks and waited half hour before giving up and leaving.
The Malthouse – TelfordGreat, reasonably priced food, and great service (despite being very busy).
The Malthouse – TelfordWell, on a very quiet day with only one other table occupied, the meal was disappointing. Having booked a table, we were greeted with sit anywhere which was probably ok. When the meal came 2 of us had thick chips which were only half cooked (I still ate mine.) The chicken and the pulled pork was described as mediocre in taste. So it was a while before our plates were collected, and we would have had a sweet had we been asked! The sweet menu never appeared, but that went along with the inattentive service, and lack of interest shown in our meal and our thoughts thereon. We even had to go to the bar to ask to pay!. Anyway we have tried to support a local restaurant but we will go elswhere next time.
Water Rat – IronbridgeOverall our meals were good. The kebabs were tasty and another in our party ordered fish and chips and the fish was huge. The chips looked hand cut but they were a bit hard. A pint of shandy costs the same as a pint of lager. It was quiet but it was a Wednesday evening. I will try it again in the future
The Last Inn – NewportI would recommend The Malthouse to anyone staying in Ironbridge.
