First meal there last night. Cannot fault the service, particularly lovely man on the bar. Unfortunately, the staff are let down by the average food and the cold lighting (although the air temperature was good). The belly pork starter was chewy and so was the short rib which was supposedly slow cooked for 8 hours. Perhaps it had dried out afterwards or not been fully submerged. It was also meant to come with leeks which were missing. And it was HUGE! Great if you have a big appetite but not if you were hoping for dessert! My partner enjoyed his Smokey cow burger however and the Brie wedges were delicious. Lovely place and lovely staff. Fine if you want some average pub grub but don’t expect fine dining.
