Pleasant evening, Ryan great host, prompt service by all and a good meal for a fair price. Decor could be improved however food, service and value all 5*. Will be returning!

Wonderful food! New management seem to be getting a hold of things. Will be returning to try the new menu!

Lovely place, the staff were friendly and helpful but the food was not great. The meat was nice but my nut roast was the worst thing i have had in a restaurant! The mash had big lumps of pepper in and overall the veg was disappointing

Excellent meal and great staff. I think we were the last ones in, so must have enjoyed ourselves.

Been there a number of times and must say the quality of the food has gotten worse , ordered pork belly burnt ends, received pork belly microwaved fat (they did remove this charge from the bill) the streaky bacon on the burger was not cooked long enough as it was also pinkish very fatty and cold so I took it off the burger. There were a few other issues, it’s a shame really as it was a meal out for Mom’s birthday, not sure we will be going back. However, I must say the staff are very polite and helpful.

Meal for 2 Saturday evening. Excellent quality of food. Service was spot on, very professional.Swift but not hurried.Would recommend and definitely visit again when in the area.

Upon entering the smokey cow our party could not believe the nois level in the room. so we ordered drinks very nice and decided to leave.

Fantastic food , great service with cocktails , dancing and lots of laughter. First time seeing Sonic Boom but definitely won't be the last.

Fell upon this pub, booked and Went for sons 18th, staff were lovely and food was top notch! Definitely visit again.

We went for a meal on Saturday evening and the food and service were both excellent and we would be glad to eat here again if we are ever in the area

we visited for seventieth birthday.it was exellent,the staff are very efficient and cant do enough for you,no waiting at the bar,and table service when dining,it was all run like clockwork,the food was exellent,and very tasty,icant fault the malthouse on anything.the area around is very nice and river setting only adds to our wonderfull day i never write as much on reviews as this but cant help telling you what a great time we had and the staff are great polite and fast hard working, a good part of any buisiness,thankyou all so much,we will come again for certain.regards sue.

When arriving no one was about, we waited and waited after about ten minutes eventually a girl came and told us we could sit at any table laid for two. The place was virtually empty, would of preferred to sit at a side table and not in the middle where the only two seaters were. No atmosphere, only two staff, one of them it was their first day. The food was good, portion size ok, and not bad value. Wine very expensive for a bottle of cheap Sauvignon. Seemed to be no management or landlord. I might return in a few years to see if they have better management and atmosphere.

Went to the bull on a Friday night 15th July as a party of 4 for the first back to this pub for several years. We were the only people eating there that night which I must say resulted in a bit of a strange atmosphere.but saying that the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. We all had starters which we all really enjoyed. 2 of us had vegetarian burgers and 2 of us had steaks. All of us enjoyed our meals and will go back. Would recommend the bull to go for a meal

food is fantastic, they are just understaffed. that said, the staff they do have are fantastic and a credit to the pub
