Lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere, food was tasty and plenty of will definitely be coming again

Really great atmosphere and lovely little place. Great meal as good as I had remembered from being there 6 months before.

We booked the Smokey Cow for a birthday meal for 10 people. I received an email asking for a pre order so that we weren’t disappointed if there weren’t items on the menu and so it would be easier for the kitchen. This was sent over a week in advance. I received a call 2 hours before our reservation to be told there were no pies available, which three of our party ordered. When I stated we sent over a pre order and asked the reason for this I was told ‘the kitchen have lost the pre order and pies were never ordered from the butchers.’ On the way over I called the restaurant and added the replacement meals and asked to check the order over so there were no issues when we arrived. We arrived and ordered drinks, to be told there wasn’t enough of what we had ordered, so we needed to choose again. we were then told they didn’t have those drinks either. Before our food, we were notified that one meal was missing off the pre order - which we couldn’t believe as it was on the email that was sent and was also on the order when we checked on the way to the restaurant. The food is incredible and despite the issues, staff were lovely. The lack of organisation, however, really let the restaurant down. I have been before in a smaller group and visited another Craft and Jam restaurant elsewhere, and never had these issues.

Arrived expecting a Sunday lunch to later discover there was none available due to a high volume of orders over the course of the day. However we were welcomed by the staff and was advised to choose off the general menu if we wished to do so. The food was delicious and the service was excellent as we only experienced the Sunday lunch last time we visited hence why we returned. We will definitely visit again even if we don’t have Sunday lunch. For future reference it would be useful if customers were notified via call or email prior to visiting if Sunday lunch is not available.

Excellent meal , my steak was cooked to perfection. Attentive service, nothing was too much for the staff. Highly recommended!

We visited The Swan restaurant on the 21st January for my husbands birthday. The staff were friendly. We went specifically to sample their advertised smoked meats. The food was wonderful the meat was amazing and the portions were generous. We made plans to return soon. Well worth a visit Thankyou x

We had a great meal on Saturday evening. The food for all 5 of us was tasty, fresh, well presented and served with really good service. We will most definitely eat there again.

We came here for an absolutely beautiful meal here of a Saturday evening. Absolutely delicious and definitely filled a gap. Stunning vintage style pub set in the beautiful village of Iron Bridge! Would definitely visit again...

My wife and I visited on 17th January during our short break in Ironbridge. The food was very enjoyable and the service was with a smile.

Popped in for a drink last week during a walk around the village. Pleasantly surprised to find out they serve food during lunch too. Dark haired manager on bar was friendly and talkative, telling us about the family owned group.

Great meal here over the weekend. Lovely girl running the pub, really great service. Food was delicious, we had one of the specials.

Having recently moved to Shropshire, this was our first visit to the Smokey Cow. Lovely Shropshire village location and cool contemporary look & feel to the pub. Service was okay and food was tasty & reasonably priced. However, my partner has Coeliac Disease and is therefore allergic to gluten. Fortunately, in this day and age, most progressive pubs have a GF menu or clearly marked GF options on their menus. Sadly, the Smokey Cow has yet to catch up and when requesting the GF menu, after a 5 minute search for it, we were handed the dreaded ‘allergens folder’ which is frankly a horrible experience for any diner. It is much nicer to be advised what you can have rather than given a list of what you can’t have which in this case was most things on the menu. On a more positive note, after requesting that the waitress ask the chef if they could adapt any meal a GF option was provided and the food was delicious. My advice to “Craft & Jam” is to consider the customer experience of being handed the allergen folder and move with the times like so many others. Brunning & Price is a great example. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Went for the mother in law’s birthday last time we went was 4 years ago for my wife’s birthday and it was terrible. Heard of some good reviews so decided to try it again. Couldn’t fault the staff, ordered steak and all it came with was steak, chips, 1 mushroom with small amount of greenery, this was the same for the for all the other 4 meals really could have done with veg or salad, slightly pricey for what you got, the food however was nice. I ordered the black pudding, bacon chips to go with my burger this was an additional £3.50, stand alone price £6, definitely wasn’t worth the additional cost should have just had the chips that came with the burger. Would go back.
