Waitress was unaware of beers in stock. Stated there were none which proved inaccurate. No complaints with main courses. Took ages for our plates to be removed. Had to help ourselves to desert menus. Bar staff could be heard arguing with waiting staff as other plates were left uncollected. I asked about the available sorbets but the waitress was again unaware so I suggested a raspberry flavour as this was listed as an accompanying side with one of the other dishes. She said she would provide one if possible. It was served to me but included parts of the cardboard it had been kept in. I left them on my plate but no comment was made as the dishes had not been collected when we left. Atmosphere was edgy due to the visible lack of serving staff. Under these circumstances I could not genuinely recommend this as a venue worth visiting.

I can not praise the staff at the at the Water Rat highly enough!We had with us a four year old who decided to have a full blown meltdown:( Everyone was so patient ! The food was delicious and we will return… minus the Grandchild!

Had a beautiful roast dinner yesterday with 5 of my girlfriends, beef was gorgeous, as we're the roasties, Yorkshire pudding, veg etc, daupinose potatoes where scrumptious, staff very attentive, great service. Would defintely recommend The Queens Head.

Very disappointed visit this time. Only Sunday roast available, Then was told one of those options not available Nut roast for vegetarians . Asked for a latte ,but took ages as this bar man did not know how to make it . Asked for a jug of water ,no ice !! Ice machine broken . 2nd Jug of water ,something not nice floating in it . The meat was very fatty ,when we told the waiter no apologies. It’s a shame as been here before ,and always had good meals and good service .

We have had a roast Sunday Lunch twice now at the Tilley Raven. Both times, the food was cooked to perfection, compliments to the Chef. The meal was well balanced with complementary flavours, the red cabbage contrasting nicely with the cauliflower cheese. My husband had a very nice portion of apple crumble which was, I think, French style with the crumble cooked separately from the fruit so that it was nice and crunchy. Service was prompt and our young waitress was pleasant and very efficient. I think that the Tilley is a hidden secret and we’ll definitely be back.

What can I say one of the best bottomless brunch we have ever done. Our glasses were never empty and the atmosphere was fabulous! Natural Affairs were out of this world and kept the party atmosphere doing from the start to the end. Staff were lovely and nothing was to much trouble! Shame we can't add photos on here to show the fun we all had! Food was lovely and will definitely be booking again!

What can I say other than the whole experience was great! The food was absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be returning, thank you Smokey Cow!

Lovely venue Staff - lovely but seemed overwhelmed. Not very attentive. Food - tacos very dry, no guacamole or sauce… served with 5 minutes between courses that were ordered as one, plates had to be asked for and delivered after all food received. Which meant food had gone cold. Incorrect salad delivered and replacement had to be asked for… Had to wave down staff to order drinks and to get bill later. Very poor for monies paid Toilets not great

Food was great, as always but the last few times I’ve eaten here the service has been poor. This time, we arrived at 7pm - there were a handful of tables eating and a few drinking outside, enjoying the weather. No one was at the bar so we stood to wait, we got seated and had our drinks ordered. It then took over 30 minutes for our food order to be taken. I went to the bar to make the order. It was really disappointing.

Warm welcome from your bar staff, good atmosphere , table was a little dirty could have done with a bit more cleaning. Drinks and food knowledge from your friendly staff really excellent . Burger was disappointing, ribs excellent

Absolutely wonderful meal provided by very friendly and helpful staff. Will be back again!

Great choice for Sunday lunch. Food was really great. First impressions outside could be better, furniture is a bit scruffy & would benefit from painting. Maybe even some nice plants. Member of staff behind the bar and serving was slightly abrupt. Bit sharp. Enjoted our meal very much though so Thank-you. .

Accommodating restaurant with regards to food intolerances and allergies. Freshly cooked food and nicely presented.

Went for Sunday lunch here and couldn’t fault the food even my fussy 9 year old son said it was amazing. It was just a shame that our experience was slightly tainted by the service. Once seated we had to keep asking when we wanted to order something as there wasn’t enough staff on and we had to wait quite a while once we had managed to order. We could hear that quite a few mistakes were being made by the kitchen with other tables around us and I felt sorry for the 2 members of staff who had to keep apologising and rectifying the errors. We would return for the food and just hope that it was a one off with the service as it is a lovely pub x
