Lovely Sunday lunch with fresh produce and staff very nice

We came on a Sunday afternoon, absolutely great atmosphere with friendly staff and great service, food was amazing would definitely recommend!

First visit here. I’d describe the pub as okay but nothing special and not worth a second visit. People seem to be raving about the large quantities but I’m more interested in quality! I had the fish and chips. The fish was ok but covered in something yellow between the fish and the batter - no idea what it was? If you’re going to serve chunky chips with the potato skins on then you need to make sure those skins aren’t covered in black blemishes - not appealing honestly. My partner had the sausage and mash - again a massive amount on the plate but not attractive as the sausages were very anaemic! Little atmosphere in the pub - only 4 other tables taken! Maybe Saturday lunchtime is just a quiet time - who knows!?

We enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal, every dish was of a high standard. Service was attentive and not obtrusive. Lovely setting and very comfortable within. Would highly recommend.

Since moving to the area I have been here a few times as food always has been so very good. So I invited family over to come for a meal out as I had previously spoke very highly of the place. However last night the food was really below par and not up to its usual standard and overall my family was disappointed (especially as I had said how good it was previously) Service was good, waitress was very pleasant and nice but the quality of food has made me dubious about ever coming here again to eat.

Service was brilliant, Lizzie was quick to look after us and made sure we got what we wanted. The food was excellent for a Sunday lunch, worth every penny. Definitely recommend and will be going back often!

abs fantastic food as always and so are the staff

Hadn't visited for over a year having been regulars before change of chef. Our previous meal was awful however last nigyts was much better again! We are delighted as enjoy visiting The White Hart. We will return you are back on our lust of favoured restaurants.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday lunch, I had the chicken supreme and my hubby had the gammon, both were absolutely delicious. Had to of course stay for dessert which was also gorgeous.

Very friendly staff and first class service, even going to the trouble of phoning me after I made the booking to confirm that we could bring our dog in. Food was excellent and we all really enjoyed our meals. All in all, it was truly a memorable experience.
