A friend recommended your pub, and I’m so pleased she did. We had delicious food at reasonable prices. The service was excellent. Highly recommended, and will return.

Been here before and until this visit I’ve never been disappointed and thought the Elephant Crossing was a little gem.. The menu (different to when we ate previously) is somewhat confused and confusing. Less Mexican more Mexican with steaks, more choice with the tacos but less well cooked. We were generally underwhelmed. What was good was the serving and bar staff. We saw only 2. On a Saturday too few but they were wonderful, helpful, worked very hard and were the standout part of the evening.

Food was very good and nice choice on menu, including vegetarian. The outside area is a lovely space to spend time in. Service was good though I feel they were under staffed for a Saturday night. Only issue was a loud and rude group on a 40th birthday party. I guess they put a lot of cash across the bar but maybe they need to decide what sort of atmosphere is right for the venue. Would recommend and would go back, perhaps on a quiter evening.

A lunch with friends was so good. Great, tasty food, as usual, friendly, chatty waitresses, good value & great choices of delicious meals. My only thought is.... at lunch time a smaller meal enables a dessert too!! As we age, we eat smaller meals. We thought the conservatory would be noisy and were pleased to have a table inside - but the noise was too great for any conversation , sadly... Just the luck of the draw, I know! But it was so lovely to see how busy and full the Queen's Head was at lunchtime. Also the online booking was very much appreciated...(& the reminder text)...

Absolutely STUNNING meals, chicken was 10/10 partner said the ribs were amazing too, only downside was the fact that they sold out of briskett which my partner was looking forward too, but it curtaining didn’t effect the meal and the food. Lovely inside, friendly staff. Will definitely be back for the brisket lol :) thanks so much for a lovely evening

On first arriving service was very good but though staff were always pleasant there were long gaps in between waiting to order......then waiting for the food. We requested a sweet menu and same happened again......long wait to order the sweets.Not as if the restarant was actually really busy. But for manners and service apart from "being forgotten about" no issues at all. Beautiful location.

Lovely food, staff were great, took a little longer to pay fir food,, plus it was boiling inside the restaurant. Other than that we all had a lovely evening.

Brilliant food, with quick service. Waitress who served us was extremely accommodating and was very friendly. Thank you to everyone working.

Great evening - fab food , freshly cooked and well presented. Friendly personal staff who negotiated gluten free with ease.

After booking on line and then calling to confirm that they allowed dogs and that one of our party was gluten free. On arrival they had no record of our booking but still found us a table, they could only offer my mum salmon with mash potato and peas, this came with a chilli sauce which wasn't on the menu, my meal was nice but my husband's ribs which he didn't eat he said he would feed to the dogs. There was only 2 members of staff on but they did there best , they did remove my husband's meal from the bill. Sadly we won't be going back.

Best thing we ate was the cheese quesadilla. Other than that we were underwhelmed. The nachos were really dry and had clearly been under a light in the kitchen for a while. I wouldn’t go back there. No lager on tap! Waitress wasn’t particularly friendly either.

Waitress was unaware of beers in stock. Stated there were none which proved inaccurate. No complaints with main courses. Took ages for our plates to be removed. Had to help ourselves to desert menus. Bar staff could be heard arguing with waiting staff as other plates were left uncollected. I asked about the available sorbets but the waitress was again unaware so I suggested a raspberry flavour as this was listed as an accompanying side with one of the other dishes. She said she would provide one if possible. It was served to me but included parts of the cardboard it had been kept in. I left them on my plate but no comment was made as the dishes had not been collected when we left. Atmosphere was edgy due to the visible lack of serving staff. Under these circumstances I could not genuinely recommend this as a venue worth visiting.

I can not praise the staff at the at the Water Rat highly enough!We had with us a four year old who decided to have a full blown meltdown:( Everyone was so patient ! The food was delicious and we will return… minus the Grandchild!

Had a beautiful roast dinner yesterday with 5 of my girlfriends, beef was gorgeous, as we're the roasties, Yorkshire pudding, veg etc, daupinose potatoes where scrumptious, staff very attentive, great service. Would defintely recommend The Queens Head.

Very disappointed visit this time. Only Sunday roast available, Then was told one of those options not available Nut roast for vegetarians . Asked for a latte ,but took ages as this bar man did not know how to make it . Asked for a jug of water ,no ice !! Ice machine broken . 2nd Jug of water ,something not nice floating in it . The meat was very fatty ,when we told the waiter no apologies. It’s a shame as been here before ,and always had good meals and good service .

We have had a roast Sunday Lunch twice now at the Tilley Raven. Both times, the food was cooked to perfection, compliments to the Chef. The meal was well balanced with complementary flavours, the red cabbage contrasting nicely with the cauliflower cheese. My husband had a very nice portion of apple crumble which was, I think, French style with the crumble cooked separately from the fruit so that it was nice and crunchy. Service was prompt and our young waitress was pleasant and very efficient. I think that the Tilley is a hidden secret and we’ll definitely be back.
