Best steaks we've had a very long time. food was excellent.

We shared 2 starters, olives and the beetroot hummus, feta and pitta. Both lovely and to share for 4 We then all had a roast, great portion sizes filling and tasty. We then shared a dessert! Always a good atmosphere, quality of food always consistent.

Me & my partner have been coming to the Elephant since it’s opened, we have always had a good experience. We came on Saturday 17th, the food was beautiful but the service & the drinks have been a million times better than what we received Saturday. The cocktails were disgusting, the waitress was constantly having to pull her skirt down as it was ridiculously short. When the two ladies was working there everything was flawless, but Saturday truly did let the elephant down.

We came for Sunday lunch yesterday (18.4.24). Originally a table of 8 then we were joined by another 2 people who were accommodated no problem. The food was amazing, which is why we’d invited our friends to join us as we’d been as a family a few weeks ago & had the best Sunday lunch we’ve had out anywhere ever before. The beef just melts in your mouth. However the service was absolutely appalling. It took 1hr & 40 minutes before our food came to the table. In all we were sat at our table for 2hrs 30 mins for just one course. It simply wasn’t good enough. Tables who had come in after us were served & in some instances even finished before us & had left! I appreciate one of those was a table who had pre-ordered but the others were not. We were going to stay for dessert but we didn’t want to waste anymore time sat there. It was a real shame because as I’ve stated above the food was amazing but the service was absolutely awful. When we did ask for the bill we were told that someone had already been to the bar & paid for our food . . . interesting as no one had left the table! We obviously queried it & indeed went to the bar to settle our bill. Is the secret to better service to pre-order?! This was never made clear to me at the time of booking. Unfortunately our guests are adamant they won’t be returning. We probably will but we won’t be just booking & ordering at the table. We will have to pre-book which is a shame as sometimes you change your mind.

We enjoyed our roast beef lunches. The portions were generous and the beef was tender and tasty. We particularly welcomed the variety of veg. The roasties were a bit underdone. The staff were all very welcoming and obliging.

Absolutely awful experience- really disappointing. Terrible service, insane wait for food with no drinks offered either after the first round, inaccurate allergy advice and really poor food when it finally arrived.

Myself and my partner had a meal here Saturday night whilst staying in Ironbridge, food was excellent, as was the service, we had a lovely night.

Food was lovely, but due to under staffing service was very slow. Only one waiter on the floor.

Great food - tinga chicken was really tasty and the pork with pineapple salsa was both sweet and spicy. Excellent value for money - just over £70 for a great selection of small and big plates and a side, with wine and shared dessert. Definitely worth a visit and great to have a Mexican eatery in the area.

Horrendous experience with table, service and food I have emailed the address I was given by Jack which was head office at jam and craft venues and then subsequently the customer service email address but to date no response what so ever. Date of the meal that didn’t get eaten was 15/02/24. Even worse than the food was the way I was treated by Jack who is apparently the manager or so he told me. I didn’t want to pay full price for our food as the burgers priced at £17 each were inedible I proposed paying half as we left both meals Jack told me if I didn’t accept 10 % off it would be classed as theft and he’d call the police. When we arrived we should of turned around and gone out of the door. The place was filthy and the staff didn’t tell us if you ordered at the bar or if it was table service. Just a horrific experience in terms of eating out

Well what can I say No meal chef had collapsed and the staff never kept us informed I found this out from the people at the bar So we had to go elsewhere Pretty poor communication I’d say

We have been to the Elephant crossing quite a few times always found it great quality and value for money, but I really do think it’s about time the menu had a shake up…. The flavours of the food have started to blend into one it all just tastes the same, so for us we are going to leave it quite sometime coming back to see if they do change the menu and appreciate it again. The staff are friendly and service is great

Booked fairly last minute as our plans to meet up with friends changed. Neither of us had been there before but we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. My husband said his fillet steak was one of the best he had had. Service was good and both our waitresses very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to friends and family. There was live music on which added to the atmosphere but we were still able to chat.

Lovely food and though the service was friendly enough, they were very neglectful. I had to go to the bar myself to order more drinks and even then they didn’t get the drinks to us, it had been 20 mins, by which we finished our meal already and again went to bar personally to pay up and forget about the drinks.

Nice food although my chilli con carne was a very small portion. Everyone enjoyed the setting and dessert was good too. WHY though must we put a service charge on the menu, that is an American tradition & should be left there

Went for a small reunion. We were seated at a very unstable table that constantly rocked, next to a doorbell by the kitchen that went off regularly. The welcome when we arrived was luke warm at best and the food was mediocre and the drinks expensive compared to other venues in the area. The waiting staff were working hard and provided adequate service. Given the amount of better venues in the town we wont be returning.
