Have eaten here several times, over the past few years. As usual, excellent food, from a nicely varied, but not overly complex, menu. Service level just right and not too intrusive.

The White Hart – IronbridgeMy friend and I had lunch on Thursday 20 August at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It was my friend’s first visit, and she was very impressed. Not only with the general ambience and appearance of the restaurant, but with the choice on the menu.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe booked a table a couple of weeks ago and visited this Tuesday. Very impressed with the layout of the pub. We were taken to our table which was a table for 2 right by the bar but it was very close to the next table of 4 so asked if we could move as sun streaming the window and table very wobbly. We eventually moved tables, food was lovely and well presented. All staff wearing face coverings which made you feel more comfortable. I think as they were busy they needed more staff, as they were working flat out. All in all very nice and we will definitely be revisiting
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe booked in the restaurant and an overnight stay. The meal was fabulous. Fine dining at it’s best and good value for money. All four of us really enjoyed it.
The White Hart – IronbridgeThe White Hart have done such a good job in tying to make a drinking or dining experience as ‘normal’ as possible but keeping within the Covid guidelines. Service is really good, they appear at the entrance to seat you really quickly, take your contact details etc... Saturday lunch was fabulous, we also had lunch a few weeks previous and it was consistent. Highly recommend.
The White Hart – IronbridgeHad my birthday lunch here last Friday. Excellent customer service along with tasty food.
The White Hart – IronbridgeBeautiful food, great service with friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe had a lovely meal, the food was fresh and attractive, very attentive staff who made us feel safe, would certainly recommend and will visit again
The White Hart – IronbridgeNice place, everywhere appeared clean. Service was good and timely, food was very nice, only ‘complaint’ was that my partner ordered the fish and chips and asked for some vinegar to be told they had none! They could have popped to the local Coop to sort that out to be honest but they just said sorry.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe visited for Sunday lunch while staying nearby. A lovely place with friendly staff. We both had the roast beef and would definitely recommend it. Just to add .... Yes the staff are young, as has been mentioned in previous reviews, but they were great. It was sad to hear another table giving them a hard time and then accusing them of ‘yakking instead of serving’. They were just trying to sort out the meal the lady had complained about as soon as it had been put on the table! The staff dealt with this effectively and with grace. Well done. A little gem of a place
Water Rat – IronbridgeFirst time we've been since the refurbishment. Beautiful venue. Looks so nice compared to how I remember it, really light and airy. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was fab, with some good vegetarian options. The garden area is lovely. Will be coming back very soon!
Water Rat – IronbridgeThe overall experience was fine, they are doing all they can to make it a good time in these weird times. The food was of a good standard, though I did find the cod and chips rather sparse. The steak meals were good. Huliome chips were excellent. Lovely garden to sit out in after the meal. The make over inside as also been done well.
Water Rat – IronbridgeBooked a meal for 3 as we are regulars visitors to what was The Meadow. The new decor and layout is very niche and the service and food was excellent. I would recommend the Water Rat as its a great location and place to relax and dine
Water Rat – IronbridgeWell spaced outdoor tables which are sheltered by large umbrella’s. we had a lovely meal with great service. Will be visiting again soon.
The White Hart – IronbridgeBooked online but had to call on day as we were running late, very kindly accommodated us. Arrived for Sunday lunch, were quickly seated with hand sanitising readily available, we were seated outside and were a little disappointed that food had to be ordered at bar despite restrictions, however food was brought quickly and was exceptional, only faults we could find were with little service issues... dirty plates left at table for long time, no offer of further drinks, after main course nobody asked if we’d like dessert, little things that maybe a young inexperienced service team can learn in future, but enjoyed the food immensely
Water Rat – IronbridgeOne of our first visits back into a venue..... easy peasy. Very well organised regarding the hygiene etc. More importantly - a complete overhaul from the previous Meadow Inn (which we had previously pulled into a turned around as it was so dated). A great refurbishment - bright and airy.... good menu, good prices....and what we would have expected from the same team that runs the White Hart up the road. The service is still finding its feet and a few delays/ confusion - but I'd say thats Covid weirdness and just a general adjustment...all very friendly Have already been in for a second visit for Sunday lunch. Highly recommended as as its just out of town, there's little passing "footfall" so if you were more nervous and wanted to venture out away from the more busy high street/wharfage then this is a great spot.
Water Rat – IronbridgeFantastic meal, lovely attentive staff and well spaced out tables. Food was delicious and an excellent choice for gluten free options as well. Highly recommend.
The White Hart – IronbridgeVisited Friday evening with friends. We had booked, but a bit of delay when we got there in knowing which table was allocated to us. Took a long time to get a drink order and a long time to order food. The place itself is beautifully decorated and well laid out, it was a lovely evening and we were able to sit outside. The food was lovely a bit more satay sauce on the bang bang chicken would have been good. A friend had visited the previous Saturday and thought it was amazing with no problems.
