Mexican night was great
Truffles Cafe – IronbridgeDined in the restaurant with my partner and two friends on Saturday 8 June for lunch. Absolutely amazing service and food. Prices very reasonable Have booked again for my anniversary iba July. Thiroughly recommend a visit
The Last Inn – NewportService was very friendly and quick, gave sound advice when ordering. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the view from outside seating was lovely. Food was fresh and very tasty. Best meal iv had out in a long time and a great price.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeHad a great meal out with my mother. Haven’t been to this pub for a while but wasn’t disappointed. We had the belly pork and were a bit unlucky to get the fatty end bits. So we mentioned it and this was rectified straight away with a much better piece of pork that tasted great. So would highly recommend, good food and exceptional customer service with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
The Queens Head – OswestryGreat food - definitely a cut above standard pub food, and great professional yet friendly service!
The White Hart – IronbridgeLovely meal at Queens Head for our party of four. Waiting on staff lovely. Highly recommend- our favourite go to place for an early tea
The Queens Head – OswestryLunch for myself and three others. Great, varied menu. Three courses with drinks came to £35ph with tip. Friendly atmosphere, easy parking just a short walk down the road (pay & display nr the museum) and a place we’d all definitely recommend.
The White Hart – IronbridgeHad lunch there with friends, food was great and service was perfect.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordThree diners most dishes were fine except for two prawn cocktails- few prawns which were hard to find in a heap of lettuce One diner was my guest which precluded complaint without embarrassing her
The Queens Head – OswestryVisited here on a Wednesday afternoon. Food was yummy and quick service. Really enjoyed our meal….however, the toilets were in need of a good clean! Also, the tables were great decor but in between the big ridges we could see a build up of hair, mould, bits of food etc….safe to say this immediately make us feel sick that we had just eaten at that table! Yuk! Such a shame
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordFood that was served was fantastic, traditional pub grub to a great standard. Shame there were some items not available on the day. I would have like somewhere comfortable to sit afterwards, with such a full stomach it would have been nice to have some comfortable areas in the pub to sit and have a relaxing drink. (The drinking den was closed).
The Malthouse – TelfordI made a reservation for a table on Friday the 31st May When we arrived we were told that they had no table available as they were full When we complained they said sorry we would have to try somewhat else Not very impressed They seem to take bookings via Internet, phone and allow walk in customers without checking each system against each other.
The Malthouse – TelfordRomantic meal, great food and friendly staff.
The Malthouse – TelfordWe booked a table for five people at 3pm on Sunday 2nd June. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who prepared our drinks and showed us to our table. We ordered three roast beef and one pork ( plus an extra yorkshire for my 94 year old mother in law - she didn't realise how huge they were ! ). My brother in law ordered the steak pie and mash. The meals arrived and were absolutely gorgeous. So much varied veg, nice amount of meat and plenty of gravy. My brother in law said it was one of the best pies he had ever tasted. Three of us managed a dessert. We were very pleased that we had chosen the Tilley as Sunday roast can be a little hit and miss sometimes. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable couple of hours.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyNot the best experience. Out of hand drunks on the deck no one could sit out there, even after many complaints they were not asked to leave. Informed no cocktails even though advertised on the website and was given a cocktail menu. Ordered a very expensive ceasar salad not really worth the £20, which then took over 50 minutes to arrive. Poor experience unlikely to return
Water Rat – IronbridgeSecond visit & once again average at best. Food was average & had to send one dish back twice as it was wrong. If you say it has a sauce make sure it does, don’t just throw something on & hope for the best. Service was very slow considering how quiet it was. As lovely as the server was she was clearly a little inexperienced. Took 20 mins to take drinks order, Light shades at face level, don’t know why you wouldn’t fix that Overall a little disappointing & probably won’t return
The Malthouse – TelfordFood was amazing! hot, tasty and plenty of it, really friendly staff, clean and nice atmosphere, would definitely recommend trying food and drinks at the Tilley Raven.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyBooked last minute the night before, both my partner and I had the beef cheeks to start, absolutely delicious, then I had the beef wellington that was cooked to perfection, my partner had the sirloin steak and she told me that was one of the best meals out she’s had in a long time, it was very busy but the service was great! I would highly recommend eating here, and to finish off we went next door to watch a band called (Touch too much) they were brilliant, all in all we had a fabulous evening
The Malthouse – TelfordSmall Plates: 3 for £16, 5 for £25.
2 courses plus a drink for £25. Available Monday to Friday evenings
