The Victoria Inn – BarmouthAnother lovely meal at Yr Sgwar. Early bird menu is excellent value just like the food and service. Quite busy for the early sitting but served without any delay. Well done to all concerned.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogDining at Y Sgwar is a truly delightful experience; from the gentle ambiance, amazing service and first class quality food; you will leave wanting to return! The variety of good local produce is astonishing and the presentation, although traditional, always has a subtle twist. Meals are competitively priced and there is an Early Bird menu at a special price. We live 80 miles away but make a special effort to book and stay, as often as is practical. Highly recommended.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAbsolutely stunning food and wine! A beautiful seasonal menu with gorgeous wines even available by the glass. So lucky to have a great restaurant with lovely staff who are supporting local producers. We will definitely be returning soon and regularly. Not sure why we haven’t heard about it sooner.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGreat range of wines and superb menu. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe've been dining at Tge Square for many years; it's a favourite. Lovely staff, friendly atmosphere, pleasing menu.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogLovely authentic pub which serves great quality food. Would recommend and will return when back in the area.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthFab food, good atmosphere, and service.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAlways an excellent Sunday Lunch ..our favourite place and staff are so friendly
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogSuperb meal- the lobster was excellent. Very busy but staff were superb- calm and friendly. Varied wine list with decent and reasonably charged options. Highly recommended.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogThe food is not as good now as it was even 6 months ago. Expensive but not great quality. The beef burger contained pork and was of the cheapest meat. The bruschetta at £10 was definitely not value for money. There was an issue which the manager dealt with very well. Overall would not recommend for food but as the busiest pub on the area doubt they will be worried .
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthAmazing food and service
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogExcellent meal as always.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthVisited the Victoria on Sunday. The pub was busy and had to queue for five minute’s or so to order. The bar staff were very friendly. We ordered two large roast dinners one lamb and one beef, an extra cauliflower cheese and an extra Yorkshire pudding. The food was brought within fifteen minutes to the table all piping hot and plenty of it. The meat melted in the mouth and was just delicious. We couldn’t fault it at all. A fantastic home cooked Sunday lunch
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthFabulous food and wine with great service. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant and the scallops starter.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogThis was our third visit to Y Sgwar, and the food was, as ever, excellent. The ambiance was terrific, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our only criticism is a logistical one. We follow the Early Bird strand, as we come to the restaurant at the end of a day's walking in the area, choosing to arrive at 17.00hrs so that we can return home to Llandudno at a reasonable hour. We would come to Y Sgwar more frequently if there were more variety available on the Early Bird menu. As far as the service is concerned, it is intrusive to be asked whether we are enjoying the food whilst conversing, and indeed to be addressed rather cheaply as 'Guys'.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFabulous food. Friendly service. We were celebrating a family birthday and everything was perfect.
