Alba is housed in the old lifeboat building in St. Ives and offers splendid views out over the harbour. A previous winner of the AA Seafood Restaurant of the year, and holder of a Rosette, chef Grant Nethercott produces perfectly cooked line-caught fish and seafood in a modern European style. The daily changing menus reflect the seasonal, local produce available and offer plenty for meat eaters and it has a separate Vegetarian al la carte menu. The wine list is excellent and cherry picks from some of the finest boutique wineries around the world. All the wines are available by the glass. This Michelin Starred restaurant is now under new ownership, Chef-Patron Michael Riemenschneider has taken over the stove from Ben Tunnicliffe and the restaurant has changed in style. Michael has moved here from his position as Executive Head Chef at the two AA Rosette Old Coastguard Hotel in Mousehole where he still consults.
