We visited several times and have had better experiences previously. My food was very good but my wife was disappointed with her steak pie. Although the pub was quiet when we visited, the service felt a bit fragmented and rushed. It hasn't put us off completely but it may be a while before we return as there are many other good pubs for lunches in the area

Elmas Restaurant – LymmWe went to this lovely pub while on a weekend away and the staff were so lovely and welcoming, especially of our dog. He even had some left over beef bits in a bowl. Unfortunately his meal was better than ours. We both ordered the lamb hotpot which was basically a bowl of gravy with a bit of carrot in and some very thin slices of potato on top. On the side was some very grey looking cabbage. I had one piece of lamb in mine, my husband was lucky enough to have three small chunks. Very poor value for money at £16.95. We did make our server aware who as an apology offered us ONE free desert. It was a kind gesture but unfortunately one free dessert between the two of us didn’t make up for the poor meal we had had. It’s a shame because the pub is great and the staff lovely and friendly but definitely need to work on the food. Vegetables and potatoes aren’t expensive so there is no excuse for these to be lacking in a meal. We were considering having our Sunday lunch here the next day until we had this experience so it’s a shame this has put off returning customers.

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldTraditional pub with 4 cask beers from Robinson's, including on my visit, the wonderful Old Tom strong winter ale. Service was efficient and friendly, setting was historic and comfortable, food was hearty and enjoyable.

Atmosphere was great and the food excellent we felt really good value for money compared to some places we’ve been. We will definitely return

We are both non-meat eaters, so we would have preferred more options for vegetarian/pescatarian salads/poke bowls.

This level of politeness and customer service will definitely mean that we will book again very soon. I’m gutted to have missed out on my first visit, but will be visiting very soon.
Elmas Restaurant – LymmI’ve been going to Pacinos for about 30 years and it never fails to impress, in fact I should go more often. Last night we had a party of 11 for my wife’s birthday. The service was attentive and friendly, the food was superb quality, and the prices very reasonable (it worked out about £25 per head including drinks). It’s a great little place with a lovely atmosphere and I thoroughly recommend it.
