Simply the best restaurant in the North West. From entering to leaving it is perfect. I would go for the Melba toast alone.

We had lunch at the Carriers this week and found the staff very pleasant and welcoming. The menu was a little disappointing as it was different from the website and excluded things like sausage and mash and gammon. However the food we ordered was good and they were helpful making a dish that suited my intolerances. The puddings were excellent and we were pleased to have the current offer of 50% off the total bill. If there had not been a discount we think the food is a little expensive. However we do look forward to a return visit.

I've been wanting to eat here for sometime. The Alvanley is a gorgeous place. We sat right next to a multi fuel burner. The seats were very comfortable. My wife and myself had the Sunday beef roast. The beef was beautiful. Lovely roasties and a massive yorkshire pudding. I was a little disappointed in the cauliflower cheese. It seemed to lack a little bit of taste. Unfortunately we had all had a big weekend of eating and drinking so we only had a mains. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you guys

Couple of years since we had been to Chester, however, we always make a point of visiting Pacinos and we were really looking forward to the meal! Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations! Starters were great! For the main I had the veal which was very salty and my wife had the bolognaise which was very garlicky! We both left a lot of food and the gentlemen who we paid did reduce the bill for the mains by 50% but unfortunately this did not make up for our disappointment!

Our first visit and our experince totally aligned with most prior feedback with excellent authentically Italian food, excellent service and a vibrant atmosphere. Dont go expecting fancy decor, this place reminds me of many restaurants that I’ve been to in Northern Italy with the bare minimum spent on buildings and with an emphasis on quality food. We will definately be back.

Amazing stay, lovey hotel. The staff were great couldn’t do enough. The restaurant staff where so friendly and the birthday surprises made my husbands day. Apart from the problems sleeping due to a strange vibrating noise, I would definitely stay again
