White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamMyself and 3 other neighbours enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the Plough , Whitegate last Monday evening. We all had delicious home cooked meals. Two of us had the steak and ale pie, one had the salmon and another the chicken. Each entre satisfied our expectations and we would come again. The meat pie was tender and there was plenty of gravy. The atmosphere was welcoming, cosy and right for a lovely evening meal out. Staff were attentive in just the right way. The price was as expected .
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichThe food was very good value for money. It was fresh hot and substantive. The service was fast and functional.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyWhen we walked into this beautiful little pub, we were filled with optimism, but unfortunately that all changed and the experience went from bad to worse, our booked table wasn’t even ready, so we were stood by the bar waiting, the guy that was working set the table but didn’t even inform us when it was ready he just went on to serve other people, so we took it upon ourselves to sit down which meant we were left for almost 15 minutes without even a menu between us. We eventually received menu’s and waited a further hour after ordering for our food to come, I appreciate it was Mother’s Day but there was no mention of a delay on the food. The food was also substandard. Myself and my partner had the Angus beef sirloin which according to the people responsible for pricing a £23 plate of food, having worked in kitchens as a chef I can say comprehensively that the plate we had was average and was more like a £15 plate of food, it was bland and the meat was dry. The worst thing about the whole experience though was that certain members of staff completely ignored us as they were too busy seeing to the needs of locals who were congregating round the bar having drinks. The only shining light and credit to this place was a young girl very slight in build with ginger hair, I wish I had of taken her name as she was amazing and made this experience bearable, a credit to a very poor place
The Coach and Horses – CongletonWe ate here for mothers day as our usual go to was fully booked. This was not our first visit to the venue but it was our forst experience ona sunsay. The portion size was great, the selection of vegetables was amazing the most weve had whilst dinig out. The only real negative for the food was the meat was very chewy and stringy in parts (both the lamb and the beef) and the potted dick was very dry even drenched in custard. The sevrvice was hit and miss, the male server was very polite and good at his job. Our female server didint have the same skills. we felt very rushed and mot very welcome, i appreciate it was a busy day for them but we didnt get the service we thought we would.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichLovely family evening meal in comfortable environment with good choice of food at reasonable prices. Steak cooked to perfection, mixed grill cooked just right & Lambs liver all thoroughly enjoyed. Good choice of starters & desserts too. Staff were friendly & attentive. Plenty of parking including disabled parking area, disabled ramp access to entrance & toilets were clean & well maintained. Not our first meal here & definitely not our last either. Thank you x
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamBeen coming here for over 15 years, never disappoints! Thank you for the lovely service & quality food.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyWe had a wonderful meal here on Mothers Day. It was very busy with a lovely atmosphere and the staff working tirelessly as usual. We had a fantastic meal and although very busy, service was spot on and the perfect amount of time between courses. Every time I come I have my favourite go-to items (the prawn cocktail and either the cannelloni or a steak) but they had roast beef on this day and it was delicious! The gravy was stunning, I couldve drank a jug of it! Im very lucky to have this place on my doorstep and mum was happy to travel from North Wales to come here and had a wonderful time.
Pacino’s – ChesterThe menu and service are really good. I’ve had Sunday lunch twice this month with friends and on each occasion we’ve been delighted with the food and service. We’ve now sampled the beef, pork and chicken roasts and they are all great. The Tiramisu is delicious. The prices are such good value and compare very favourably with other venues. Well done to Jackie and her team.
Spinner and Bergamot – NorthwichVery friendly staff. Food was lovely. Were very welcoming to kids and dogs will definitely be going again
The Coach and Horses – CongletonStunning meal and amazing service, would highly recommend
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamHad a meal on Saturday evening before the theatre. Service was amazing as the waitress was very attentive. The menu was perfect as was the food we ate. I will definitely recommending the restaurant to friends and family.
Pacino’s – ChesterWe have been coming to this family restaurant for decades. The food is consistently excellent. Went for a birthday meal last night, they were so busy, but service super friendly and efficient and the food was just as perfect as always. Five starters and five mains and every single plate was cleared. Loved this restaurant for years. Just so good.
Pacino’s – ChesterLovely stay at Mere Court. Fab room lovely grounds. We had breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was good, lots of choice and tasty. The evening meal however was disappointing. We were told we could mix and match between the A La Carte and the bar menu. We sat in the restaurant but because we chose one item from the bar menu were told we had to move into the bar to eat our meal. The shin beef was nice but the lamb rump was quite tough, peas were dry and though the sauce was lovely there was only a drizzle of it so could have done with more. Service was excellent and all the staff were lovely.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordWe have just moved in to Lymm and were recommend to Elmas, we were not disappointed. Lovely food, great atmosphere, very attentive and friendly staff, we are going to return for sure.
Elmas Restaurant – LymmThis is a brilliant pub. The food was epic and the staff are so nice and friendly, we definitely want to go back soon.
Spinner and Bergamot – NorthwichI dont live in Prestbury bur visit around 4 times a year. Always book Bachua and it always delivers. There are always multiple options s on the menu I want and whatever I choose is great. I must also mention the team that serves as without them, the experience would be ruined even with good food. Looking forward to my next trip so I can visit Bachus
