We had a lovely lunch here on Friday 1st May. Food was delicious, staff attentive and the pub was immaculate. We have never been here before but will definitely come back.

What a fabulous pub this is. Food is really high quality and good value. Staff are second to none. Can't find a single fault with the beer, atmosphere or food.....except that when we got there, we find they've run out of cheesecake!...it's so good it went early doors! Not to be missed if you're passing this way! Just fabulous views all across the Cheshire Plain. Wonderful place.

A lovely relaxed afternoon tea in a beautiful setting. Tasty high quality food excellently presented. Certainly one of the best scones I have ever tasted!

This is my second time of going to the mere court hotel. I enjoyed it so much the first time I thought I would give it another go. I can truly say the standard seem to have dropped down from the first time I went. The portion of the cakes which we got were absolutely ridiculous. There were so small that you couldn’t really taste what you were having. Definitely would not recommend to friends for high tea.

Decided to have a meal out at the white lion as the weather was wonderful and thought a country pub would be ideal It was, staff were friendly and welcoming as we have been at other pubs in there chain we knew what we wanted and it was perfect. Great evening

We booked a table and sat in the restaurant, been sat over 20 minutes and the waitress just ignored us, served tables that had come in after us. Ended up going to the bar and placing our order as couldn’t get the waitresses attention. The food wasn’t good, the chips weren’t cooked, chicken goujons were just brown meat and no taste at all. Prosecco was completely flat. Used to really enjoy meals here, but this was a disappointing experience.

Excellent food and outstanding value. Complemented by traditional service of the highest level!

Fantastic place and great ambience. Never had a bad experience here and always have had superb food. The offers are great value for money

We have been dining at Pacinos since they first opened in 1986 when we lived in a flat opposite the original restaurant. The size may have changed but the quality of food, cosy and intimate atmosphere, and value for money remain unchanged. So glad that Pacinos are still thriving in 2026.

We had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday, it was busy in the beer garden and quiet inside. Served pretty quickly and food was great. Really enjoyed it and recommend

We have been visiting Panama Hattys for many years and the quality and service has always been 110% I would highly recommend visiting as you will not be disappointed as the food is the best for miles around

A lovely, reasonably priced meal. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great ambience. This was my third visit in the last couple of months so I can say that things here are of a consistently high standard.

Excellent service and lovely food in a very pleasant atmosphere; great choice of wines too. Service was a real highlight.

We went for lunch at the White Lion on Monday 20th April. The restaurant was very quiet with only one other table occupied. We were made welcome. I chose salmon supreme which was cooked beautifully my husband had curry which he said was also well cooked. We will definitely come back.
