My first time visiting Bacchus with my friend for her birthday The initial reaction was that the place was Stunning, so unique. Beautiful white walls interior and a very friendly reception. Service was excellent, not pushy.We were given ample time to choose from the sumptuous menu, we went à la cart though the table set menu looked very tempting. Everything about our visit was fabulous, so glad we were able to experience this special haven

This restaurant is an amazing hidden gem just away from the centre of Chester. Always a friendly welcome, always great value for money, always delicious food, never disapointed.

Had lunch Thurs 23rd Jan. Excellent location , staff and atmosphere. Ordered the Cheese and leek pie, a favourite dish for me and the pastry was a joy , the vegetables a reflection of perfection but could I taste any cheese..............no.

Six of us ate at Panama Hatty’s last evening. We had pre-warned them about a seafood allergy one of our group suffers from, the staff dealt with this brilliantly and took it really seriously. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I had the spare ribs and wish I could eat them again tonight! Will definitely be returning!

Booked a table for Wednesday evening (22 July) to meet up with friends we haven’t seen for a number of years. What a delight, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Quite busy but not too noisy. The food was delicious. I can definitely recommend the steak and mushroom in a creamy sauce with penne pasta. I don’t often have a sweet but was tempted by the vanilla and strawberry cheesecake and was not disappointed. All very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend.

I haven’t been to Panama Hattys for over 20 years and I am so glad we returned! The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive. The prices are slightly higher than similar restaurants we have been too, but as a special treat, it is well worth a visit!

4 of us went for a birthday meal, 3 of the meals we asked for weren't available. I opted for a burger, and wish I had read the reviews on here beforehand. Over cooked and un was rock hard. Food took over an hour to come, and not that busy. Shame that the food lets this place down as the staff are friendly and the location is great.

A very pleasant experience very relaxing staff were polite and service was good . The food was really nice and had a different twist to the menu . Would definitely recommend to friends.

Lovely afternoon tea. Fresh, tasty sandwiches and helpful, friendly staff. A special addition was the ‘Happy Birthday’ chocolate and fruit plate provided for my 92 year old father. The only reason for the atmosphere mark down is I would have expected white linen table cloths, rather than bare tables. Other than that a lovely afternoon. Thank you.

Nice setting and ambience, but busy & understaffed so waited around 40 minutes before our meals arrived, which was disappointing. Meals varied with half of us very happy with meal choices but the other half very disappointed. One with the price in comparison to the quality & size of the meal & the other having to leave almost half of their meal. Staff didn’t appear interested with concerns about meat quality, so will probably not return.

We had a very enjoyable Sunday roast dinner. Pleasant visit.

Went on Monday and it was quite busy, the food was great as always I'd say they do the best steak in chester, I would definatly recommend it
