Another excellent afternoon tea in a lovely setting. The hotel grounds are really beautiful, and after dining, we sat out in the gardens, making the whole event really special. Many thanks to all the staff. We will be back.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordWe had a nice afternoon tea on Thursday. The food was good but there wasn’t much atmosphere in the room where it was served it wasn’t very welcoming and a bit too formal a setting for a relaxed meal. Also I had specified that the tea was a celebration of a 70 th birthday and special request I had asked could a cupcake or similar have either a candle on it or some icing saying happy birthday. Neither were provided.

My best neighbours “ever” deserved a Birthday destination . They absolutely loved it, and so did I. It was exactly how I remembered with the excellent cocktails, and the fabulous menu, and delicious food! Just perfect… the staff couldn’t have been any nicer or more helpful. The Carriers Inn – FrodshamHaven’t been here for years as we live 300 miles away, but fancied a trip down memory lane whilst in the area. The experience was fantastic. Warm service. Great decor. Most importantly, the food was delicious, hearty, full of flavour and great for sharing. It’s interpretations of international dishes, which is quite retro these days so nice to revisit. We’d definitely return.

The quality of the food was fantastic and equally matched by the service we received from the waitress who was very accommodating and made our experience even more enjoyable. Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyReally enjoyed our Sunday lunch here on 11 May. Hubby had the trio of meats roast and was oohing and aahing over every mouthful. I had the butternut squash wellington which was delicious and nice to have a vegan option on a par with a traditional roast. Would have liked to have had the seasonal vegetables from the roast so maybe the chef could consider tweaking the traditional roast to make it vegan and serve with the wellington, that would be perfect! Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside and only ventured inside for the loos, which were spotless and I always think a mark of good place. The decor was lovely though and we would definitely revisit if in the area.
