Been coming here for years the food and service is always 10/10

We've eaten at Lewis's Bistro a few times now when we are in Grasmere and every meal has been memorable. Food is perfectly cooked (the sauces particularly fine!) and while the wine list is small, it's perfectly formed. The service from the friendly staff is skilled and attentive. Highly recommended, we are already looking forward to a return visit.

"Memorable, simply memorable" - the comment I made to the attentive FOH staff, regarding their Lamb Henry Dish (who also remembered my name on leaving - nice touch). The kind of dish, that i'll specifically come back here to eat again.... and again. Amazing. Lovely staff, lovely pub, great food at a good price point. Congrats to all the team there. Keep doing what you are doing.

Visited on a Saturday evening, had the prawns and cheese souffle to start [Souffle was divine!]; both had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Lovely ambience and service. Would highly recommend

Our first visit of 2025 did not disappoint. We had a lovely warm welcome from Amanda & Lewis. The food was amazing as always. We will be back in June & would highly recommend any one to visit this lovely cosy Bistro in the beautiful village of Grasmere. We have been going to this Bistro for at least 7 years and it never disappoints.

Enjoyed another fantastic meal at the Pheasant, always our first choice when we visit the Lakes. Delicious food, friendly professional staff and a brilliant atmosphere in the pub. Looking forward to our next visit.

We managed to get a last minute reservation and enjoyed a first class meal in lovely surroundings with great staff. Pub dining at its best! The prices are very reasonable too. All in all, a very very enjoyable evening, we certainly intend to return. Highly recommended.

Friendly, efficient staff. Good choice on menu, food very well prepared. Excellent value for money. Beers well kept. Parking at bit busy times can be a bit tight.

Our second visit did not disappoint. Quietish early evening slot and everything was good. The food was delicious and the service was smooth.

Had a absolutely lovely meal here while we were staying in Grassmere. I had Scallops to start cooked to perfection, followed by surf and turf. My husband had terrine to start followed by the lamb rump every element delightful. Small family run business really excellent service. We would come back if in the area again thank you.
