Stayed and ate at Wheatsheaf for 2 nights, meals were perfect throughout the stay, staff were friendly helpful the whole time couldn’t do enough for us, would recommend eating and staying at the wheatsheaf?

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe ate at The Pheasant Farm Inn as a group of seven people on Saturday evening. The service, food and atmosphere were all excellent! The food was tasty, cooked well and hot upon arrival. The staff were helpful and friendly even though they were extremely busy. I would certainly return back during future trips to the Lake District.

Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWow what an amazing trip back in time in this quaint & quirky listed building. After having the Bellypork & dauphinoise potatoes, which was absolutely delicious, we retired to The Dora room which main feature is a the beautiful 4 poster bed. The staff were so friendly, accommodating & couldn’t do enough to make our stay that extra bit special. Shame we didn’t get to see the famous badgers that reside close by or visit the Rydal Cave, but it is definitely now on our to do list.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWe've visited the Tavern several times before, but our experience under this new management was by far the best. The decor has always been lovely, but this time the food was excellent, the service superb, and we were all of us struck by the warmth of the welcome from Sam. We'll definitely be making this a regular haunt from now on.
