Been before food is great and service friendly

Went for special Birthday. What a treat! The starter, mains & dessert were first class/absolutely delicious for all of us. The service was also excellent. Would definitely recommend & will be back :)

Great service

Decent pub food in generous servings. Good quick service and a nice atmosphere. Reasonable range of beers available.

Had yet another fab meal in this lovely cosy bustling pub. The staff were really friendly and efficient, the portions were very generous and the quality of the food was excellent. Great atmosphere in the pub too.

We had a really lovely meal at Lewis's Bistro. The scallops were a particularly tasty starter and we both enjoyed the lamb & cod loin for mains. I had sticky toffee for dessert which was generous in size and delicious! My partner had the cheese board which came beautifully presented with a good selection of crackers and accompaniments. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. Overall, I would recommend for a lovely, relaxed meal in Grasmere.

Spa was very nice but the changing rooms left alot to be desired as not separate cubicles showers not private either you could see everyone and everything not my idea of private. Then when we went for the food there was no one to help where we should go when we did ask we were put in the lounge for our afternoon tea and not in the dining room where you would expect to eat as there is wonderful views. The food its self was ok but I won't be rushing back

Great food & service

Just got back from a wonderful overnight stay. We had previously lunched at The Wheatsheaf which was fabulous, so we couldn’t wait to sample dinner It didn’t disappoint, excellent food (portions are on the large side, so be warned), great selection of beers and wines. Service was excellent too The hotel room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and the shower was great too. Breakfast was just amazing. Lovely fruit platter to start and then a full English breakfast using quality ingredients. Wonderful toast and jam to finish off. They even made us an extra pot of tea for our flask as we were heading off for a walk. 5 star service! Thank you

Had a fantastic meal would highly recommend. We had a lovely young lady looking after us very attentive made sure everything was ok and kept our glasses topped up. The food was amazing thank you to the chef will be returning xx
