Pheasant Inn – KeswickSuch a cosy friendly atmosphere. Great choice of food and everything our group of 5 ordered was thoroughly enjoyed. The lamb Henry is so tasty and so huge my dog enjoyed it too!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFabulous menu. The sea bass was absolutely delicious. Great portion sizes Gorgeous beer garden with space for the kids to play will definitely be coming again
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsOutstanding food but underwhelming deco & environment
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithVery tasty Sunday lunch. Staff were welcoming. Venue is rustic but comfortable and dog friendly. Very accommodating of my dairy intolerance- even a lovely pudding!
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsMeal was absolutely fabulous with great service from all the friendly staff. Brilliant atmosphere. Good value for money. Will be booking again for next visit in summer.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickTerrific dinner and lovely service from the staff.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithFabulous meal Superb attentive service Perfect
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFriendly staff, fresh food but lacking a little atmosphere because it's on a busy road but did visit twice and will definitely visit again.
Plant by Kat’s Kitchen – KeswickBooked one night - pleasant room with spacious en-suite shower all spotlessly clean. Bed a little firm for me but husband quite happy - just personal taste. We had dinner - I had the potted shrimp (delicious) and the salmon which was nice. Husband had the black pudding followed by Cobb salad - chicken a little dry but otherwise good. Breakfast the following morning was lovely- nice to start with a fresh fruit plate and the breakfast itself perfectly cooked with more coffee offered. Overall very pleasant stay in a characterful old pub - staff all very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend- good location for accessing the area.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent traditional country pub, very welcoming and accomodating. Staff very cheerful , chatty and friendly. Pint of John Smith's went down very nicely, well kept with good head. Food was so good very tasty and filling, good sized portions. Sincerely well worth a visit or few. Will be back when next at motorhome/caravan site later in year.
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleA wonderful find in Penrith. The food was wonderful, and the service impeccable. We would definitely revisit. Highly recommended.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithAlways a lovely meal, great atmosphere and attentive staff. Best Italian in Carlisle!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThird visit this week … three different meals …. excellent again. We’ll be back!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickHaving looked at previous reviews we decided to book a ‘Sunday lunch’ during our stay at Lakelands, Flookburgh. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the ‘landlady’ who was chatty and cheerful without being intrusive. Service was on good time during a busy lunch period. The menu offered a wide range of dishes to suit everyones palate. I can highly recommend the battered salt & pepper squid for a starter. Main courses were traditional Sunday lunches of x1 chicken and x1 roast beef served with a selection of vegetables, roast & mash potatoes each being beautifully cooked and presented. Personally I’m not usually a fan of Robinson’s ales but the ‘Dizzy Blonde’ IPA was very palatable and complemented the meal. We would highly recommend the Hope & Anchor if you are in the area.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsLovely food, excellent service. Highly recommend.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleCan’t fault anything from the meal last night. Particular shout out to the service which was super friendly and dialled in. Was sceptical that cheese would work with the fish pie as per staff recommendation but it was a winner. Sticky toffee pudding was a banger. If I lived here I’d be going all the time.
