Excellent food and service , the garlic bread with onion and pepperoni was fantastic

We had the pleasure of early doors ( first sitting ) dining at Lewis's during our recent visit to Grasmere, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. After making our online booking, we arrived at the restaurant with our furry friend, a cocker spaniel, and were greeted warmly by the staff, who were all incredibly courteous and accommodating. Despite having had lunch earlier in the day, we couldn't resist trying the Surf & Turf for our main course, and we were not disappointed. The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Although in my wife's opinion her steak was slightly more cooked than she had requested (rare), it was still very enjoyable, and we were both very satisfied with our meal. To accompany our mains, we chose a glass of red wine each from the excellent wine list. The wine was of high quality and complemented our dishes perfectly. Even though we were comfortably full after our mains, we couldn't resist sampling the tempting selection of ice cream flavors for dessert. It was a lovely way to finish off our evening at Lewis's. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience at Lewis's, and we will definitely be returning the next time we are in Grasmere. The staff made us feel welcome, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area

Fantastic food and service! Steak was cooked to perfection. Visited Grasmere for the first time last year and Lewis’s Bistro was one of the reasons we returned. Lovely food!

Went last Sunday evening after pre booking and pleasantly pleased it was rammed, it didn’t deter from service levels or food quality, only negative no fish dishes on the menu but prices are going crazy on that front. Great team effort, thanks.

We visited Grants of Castlegate on Sunday evening. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely smile from a lady who was our waitress for the evening. She was very calm and attentive. The food was excellent and the delivery precise- my husband had Scallops followed by the monkfish which was served with a perfect lobster cream sauce. My beetroot and goats cheese tart was very tasty and the my main course of lamb was delicious. So full but unable to resist the sticky toffee pudding we had one to share mmmmmm light and gooey. Lovely atmosphere amongst diners and a very impeccable service.

Noted an easy to book reservation on-line & we were seated downstairs as requested due to mobility issues. The 4 of us enjoyed our meals @ La Mezalluna on last Saturday in March. 2023. The service was very attentive & prompt & the restaurant has a really nice social, friendly atmosphere. The price of drinks & all courses was not cheap as has increased like everywhere else recently unfortunately but not too much.

Visited recently on a weekend away in Keswick. Couldn't fault anything. Really friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed an excellent meal, so delicious very fresh homecooked ingredients and served piping hot..absolutely perfect. We spoke to young chef as he was finishing and told him how much we enjoyed our meal. He's a big asset to the pheasant..we will definitely re visit next time I'm the area.

We absolutely love going to Harry’s Bar, the Food, Atmosphere and staff are all equally excellent. We visited on 26 and had a sumptuous Sunday Lunch, with all the trimmings a lovely dessert and a good bottle of wine! Lovely, warm and welcoming. Well worth the value for money, will 100% be returning.

We had a lovely evening. The restaurant was busy but the staff are great and keep everything ticking over well. Food is always fantastic. Booked again for Friday.

Excellent Sunday lunch

We love this place - friendly and unpretentious but with great service and superb food. A good range to choose from on the menu and everything perfectly cooked and well presented.

Beautiful decorated clean pub with a cosy atmosphere. Very friendly well mannered staff who make you feel welcome on every visit. Excellent customer service a real asset to the area. Our new local in the South Lakes, when we are visiting our caravan. We had Sunday lunch yesterday from the new improved menu which was very good.

The Sunday lunch is to die for plenty of meat and tons of gravy with the most largest Yorkshire puddings I can recommend this place it was very busy I would definitely make sure you book in advance the staff were really friendly too

We came for Sunday lunch yesterday to try the new menu and the food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and polite will definitely be a regular for for when we visit our caravan

We had lovely breaks consisting of venison bourgurgion, chicken and leek pie all with thick cut chips. Absolutely beautiful food. Lovely and hot, big portions and decent value for money. We booked in advance for a table with our furry friend and this was ready when we arrived. We were near the fire so it was lovely and hot in the pub which these days is always a bonus. The drinks were lovely too and not overly priced. Service by all was good. I couldn’t fault anything about the pub and it’s a nice night out. It was busy at the bar but I think this just added to the atmosphere.

Food was gorgeous and beautifully cooked. Really enjoyed the experience highly recommend. The service was first class and the staff were lovely. Will definitely be returning.
