Our 1st time dining at Lewis's Bistro, the food was excellent. The Bistro itself is comfortable and the staff were friendly. We had a lovely evening and would recommend it to anyone staying in the Grasmere area.

We visited twice during our recent holiday, the food was really good and plentiful on both occasions and nicely presented The menu has plenty of choice for all tastes. Good atmosphere with friendly efficient staff, always on hand.

Good food, pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. Lamb Henry was particular, early good.

Great location to break the journey up from Scotland to Somerset, good size car park, very comfy room with tea/coffee facilities, shower great, excellent evening meal and breakfast, would definitely stay again.

Cask beer 10/10 some of the best conditioned beers I’ve had in a pub in a long time. All 4 local. Lamb 10/10 Salmon 10/10 Attitude of staff to us having a 2 year old 10/10 Children’s menu fish and chips 10/10 Can’t say enough good things First visit Live 6 hours away but will be back!!

Three of us enjoyed a meal at the Pheasant this week. We each chose something different from the menu (as it happened one meat, one fish and one veggie). Each of us was delighted with the quality (and quantity!) of the delicious home-cooked food. Three different members of staff attended to us, and each was welcoming and friendly. Then they were surprised that I left a tip! Can thoroughly recommend to others visiting Keswick.

This place never fails to provide outstanding service and fabulous food. We love going to this restaurant and would highly recommend you pay a visit. You will have s fantastic time and enjoy beautiful food.

Food wass delicious we had the Sunday night deal for Sunday dinner, bed and breakfast. The service was polite and attentive and no request were too much bother. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, gravy delicious and all the vegetables fresh and tasty. Especially good roast potatoes. The breakfast was hot, bacon and sausage again very tasty, poached egg perfectly cooked. My partner had to get away earlier than me and the chef even made him a delicious takeaway bacon sandwich before normal breakfast time was due. So thank you so much for that

With its characterful early 17th century exterior, the Wheatsheaf is visually inviting and well worth visiting for a drink and meal. On a busy Friday evening we found service to be prompt, attentive and friendly, and the food - much of it local - very enjoyable.

What a beautiful meal, in pleasant surroundings with attentive staff. A little gem in the heart of Penrith. Just lovely.

Had a beautiful meal for my daughter, partner and grandchildren, made us feel very welcome. The food and service was exceptional. We book every year when we book a cottage in the area, needless to say we will be back.

My colleague and I specifically stopped in Carlisle overnight to enjoy this restaurant, after eating here once before. We enjoyed as much if not more this time round and will try to eat here anytime on our route. Thanks for another enjoyable experience!

We had popped in for a drink one afternoon when the chef was on his break We got talking and he told us about the gluten feee options.He certainly lived up to his word, amazing gluten free fish and chips ! The nicest I’ve ever had. They have a varied menu, something for everyone. Good selection of real ales and wines. The Penny Lane Sauvignon was really good.
